Imma say this AGAIN, plz include Nyla in the 40 and under artist interviews. I almost forgot Envy was absent. Her follow-up questions damn near carried this interview. 💪🏾 I think this is the first time I’m seeing Nyla and Jess on at the same time and it went much better than I thought. Yalls vibe matched the guest’s energy. Good stuff
Nyla's and Jess's energies don't match or balance...Nyla is intelligent, articulate and graceful....Jess is just loud and ignorant, she adds no value to an adult conversation. She brings down the intelligence and vibe in any room she's in...she's like the loud friend you hope doesn't make it to the gathering because they're just obnoxious

Rap's mentioning of the feelings she experienced with anxiety mimics what I went through. It is a beast and can be the worse emotional feeling next to grief. Glad to see the likes of Charlemagne and Rapsody are more open to sharing their mental health battles so they can help others cope.

I’ve been listening to Rap since she was rhyming with Mac Miller early in her career. Her very first album “Beauty and the Beast” is a classic. “Laila’s Wisdom” is a classic. “Eve” is a classic. Her mixtapes are fire. I saw her perform live, she’s ill. She’s the quintessential hip hop artist. Period. She puts on for us swaggy girls trying to find our way in the world. She’s my favorite. I’ve put so many people on to her. Growing up it was Ms. Hill for me. In my mid 30s, it’s Rap. Hands down.

I can see how much she has gone and been through since her last album. In the very beginning years of her career she was vulnerable. And talked about her best friend a lot. And how he just dipped. Her family etc.I’m happy to see her bring back this side of her. Of her personal life and how she deals with things.
I propose a ‘Black Star’ -esque supergroup in the rap world. How about Jean Grae and Rapsody with strong female R&B artists such as Alex Isley, H.E.R. and We are KING? A response to counter the attention rap beefs attract, which really counteract hip hop cultural solidarity/progression.

I just listened to the whole album from beginning to end mid listening to this interview and I must say this album is phenomenal the best thing. God on the mainstream market right now. We got to get behind this sister and push her to the top
It really be the media talent putting out the perception that well received-artists are “slept on” or “underrated”. Charlemagne does this all the time with Rapsody, and used to do the same with Wale. These artists don’t be slept on.
