I have low porosity hair and for some reason my hair can’t stand the layering of products, it just sits on top and dries my hair out. It can only take 2 products at a time. So I can do L.C. Or L.O. But not all 3
The LCO looks nicer to me, but if its not as moisterizing as the LOC method then that is something to really think about. I always use the LCO method, but this means me want to try both and do a comparison of the methods. Thank you for sharing. Loooove your hair.
I have high porosity 4c-b and my hair LOVES the LOC method. But instead of liquid I use a creamy leave in then I seal it with an oil then a heavy butter 😭
Omg this is crazy!! I was literally thinking about this yesterday doing my hair. I switched to the LCO method last night because I want the oil to seal everything on top 🥰
Yay for the upload! Your hair has grown SO much omg 😳😭 I currently do the LCO method and it works for me. Question: how often do you wash your hair? I’ve been meaning to grab me some melanin hair care but didn’t know what products to get. I love your videos!
Shelethia Tre'nae thank you! I wash my hair once a week. Normally on the weekends. I might was midweek if there’s a lot of product build up or if my hair needs more moisturizing
I thought the “L” stood for “leave-in conditioner🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️. Oops! I use the Melanin Haircare line. To style a spray a good amount of water on a small section of my hair then I apply her leave-in, her cream and then her oil and then the Mane Choice orchid gel and then I two strand twist. My twists stay for 4-6 weeks👍🏾...I usually retwist/remoisturize at somepoint in that duration. Your hair looks good either way💛
Eniye Mission So I guess my question is am I doing too much by doing water and then leave-in if they both are “L’s” because essentially I have 5 layers of gunk of my hair (4 w/o counting water)?
@@JessicaSmith-ie7cm I do the same. I say, If it works for you then continue on with it. I use water and a liquid based leave in, but I don't count that as my L.
Aaayeeeee! I'm here! Notification squad! I often interchange the two methods. I use loc on wash day and lco when adding moisture midweek. I find that works for me
Haha! You’re so funny! “Am I saying that right?” My hair is the total opposite , it likes LCO. Granted I never really tried the LOC, Lolol. But as you’re describing how your hair feels in LOC is how my hair feels when I do the LCO. Anyway, lovely results 😭 truly makes me want to experiment more with my natural hair than the regular twists I do. Hahah! Thank you Ruth ☺️💗
Same! I’ve tried LOC and LCO and my hair likes LCO better but I think I have high porosity hair so that extra time I get to lock in moisture with the oil because the cream still has it moist is good? Idk I just know my hair looks really good and moisturized when I do the LCO as opposed to LOC.
Hahaha I kept confusing myself throughout the whole thing. But thank you! You should experiment more! I will say though, sleeping with those rods in was no fun Lol
Beautiful hair ,love it! My hair is low porosity and I have been working with the LCO method.I'll try the LOC to see whether its able to retain more moisture. Besides that am curious on whether you've ever hit a growth plateau stage during your natural hair care journey. If so ,how did you deal with it?
Verona Kibe I haven’t noticeably hit a plateau. But I would say, examine the products you’re using, keep a clean and healthy scalp, and look into your hairs moisture/protein balance.
It depends of the oil.. melanin oil has mostly sealant oils in it the first ingredient is almond oil that's a sealent it goes on top but it has avocado oil that's a mix between moisturizing and sealent.. a good oil to use is oilive or argan oil for the loc method it will look good and feel good..
If Nap85 method works for you chances your hair is high porosity like hers but interested to know your results. I use a butter , oils just seat on my low porosity hair. So LCB for me.😁
Saaaaaame sis !!!! I’ve realized I’m a butter girl !! Do you like using true butters ? Or do you like/use butters that are made from the different companies
@@JRD72 I make my own butter mix the prime ingredient being organic Sheabutter. These days I have time so I went back to natural butters, cleansing and deep conditioning methods.
exclusiveop thank you! I’m able to wear it like this for about two-three days by just wearing a large bonnet at night. Then I throw it in a puff/bun. That’s a great video idea though!
I notice... u put a product on... then u wait & then put the other product on top... most videos... I see ppl putting the product right on top after the other without waiting... I wonder if that is wat also effect the results... 🤔
Second question: (Lol) when applying the oil directly after your water did you feel your hair was more prone to breakage? I would imagine applying oil alone to wet hair just wouldn’t be enough to penetrate the shafts of my 4c hair.. like how do you get it to just not sit on the surface? I hope this makes sense. Both methods look GREAT on your hair!
Shelethia Tre'nae Moni haven’t noticed more breakage. The oil is meant to seal the moisture from the water and the leave in just adds an additional layer of moisture. My hair seems to absorb moisture well from using this method
I don't use any of them, I use the LB method (liquid, butter). I find that it works better for my hair. Your hair is goals! 😍😍😍😍
Me too..LB makes my hair soft and it breaks less😍
Same. I was using LCO before but find with LB i can go atleast 3days before remoisurizing.

I am in awe that you were able to do this style on wet hair versus blow dried hair. Very impressive❤️

That's a lot of product on the hair... but hey, if it works for u... 👍🏾
Love love love your channel. I’ve noticed my hair isn’t as moisturized with LCO either. I’m trying LOC ASAPPPP.

This is by far the best natural hair style I've ever seen! 😍😍😍
Gorgeous can't wait for my hair to get this longg
Same here
Beautiful lady with the good hair. I will celebrate the day my hair is half of yours, it looks so healthy and beautiful and long too😍😍😍😍
Uh huh, that hair, that hair, the bounce is killing me softly.

Liquid based leave in falls within the L.
I thought so too. Thought she’s use the leave in on BOTH sides and the twist elongating cream and oil flip-flop on each side 🤷🏽♀️

LCO method. Wouldn’t have it no other way lol. Especially since I am High Porosity.
