  • @ihlamur8461After the fun we had with our Focus on the Settlers series we did, we now turn our attention to my new favorite game. Pioneers of Pagonia.
This video focuses on the two farms, the vegetable farm and the crop farm. These farmers are all collectively known as Phillipa.
This was by far the most complicated video so far, with so many options for field numbers, terrain, crops and more. I'm happy to say we've boiled it down to be as simple and as understandable as possible
It's worth noting that crops take different amounts of time to grow.
Their growth rate is not dependent on the terrain they are on.
However, the probability of a successful harvest is dependent on the terrain.
Different growth times mean farmers can handle different numbers of fields for the different crop types.
All of this and more is explained in this video.
In this series we take a deep dive into everything we know or can observe about the Pioneers of Pagonia.

My pleasure. I'm already getting some great feedback, so I'll be adding/correcting where necessary in the future... but hopefully this comes in useful. It certainly has for me.

Glad it was helpful! To be honest, my testing has hinted that these levels are possible under ideal circumstances... but keeping it a little lower on most games is probably the way to go. 12-14 fields is probably enough except for corn (less) and cabbages (more).

I have MSC in agriculture. This much field research would certainly guarantee phd in crops. I can only imagine you spent hours and hours to collect all this data!

This is pretty much what I do for work. If only my clients knew how much more interesting their data could be. Anyone wants to hire me to do their data analytics... get in touch! :D

What's a difference between ration and nutrition score?

And pretty much the same reply. Every food has 3 scores. A nutrition score: how much it will power mining, A comfort score: how much it will power baby-making, and a ration score... which is how many rations of 6 nutrition it will make. Taverns make the nutritious and comfort meals. Provisioners make rations... which also provide nutrition.

    What's a meal score?

So Piotr. I'll get into this way more when we get to the provisioner and tavern, but every food has 3 scores. A nutrition score: how much it will power mining, A comfort score: how much it will power baby-making, and a ration score... which is how many rations of 6 nutrition it will make. A meal, which consists of a main, side, desert and drink combines these comfort or nutrition scores. The tavern will make the best meals they can. Crops and vegies make up the side dishes.
