It's a rare thing for Emile to open up about his personal issues, and I think that's what makes this special.

Every copy of Super Mario 64 is personalized. Each and every copy comes to someone at a point in their life when it's needed. It is a game meant to spread joy and happiness. Super Mario 64 is not an evil game, but rather a game that, universally, can make someone smile.

I can say similar things about Chuggaaconroy himself which helped my own life. I came to loving Nintendo games through watching his let's plays for the first time, keeping me in a positive side of my childhood. It's safe to say this game influenced my life indirectly along with most of the people who follow him.

I feel ridiculously lucky that this was my first lp i watched from him. It might not be as indepth as his xenoblade or pokemon. But this and many more moments just makes him one of my favorite youtubers period.

This video was great , i felt really bad watching this video because of him talking about his childhood. Very emotional.

Emile is so genuine. Watching this video is heartwarming, but it also makes me angry, cuz it makes me think of people who will immediately dismiss this way of thinking. "A video game changing who you are? Bullshit, you damn millennials are too attached to this crap blah blah blah" kind of stuff. It's not childish in any way to see any form of media in such a special light, and if you use that as a vehicle to put people down, you're a horrible person.
I've been a longtime subscriber of Chugga (haven't watched a lot of his recent stuff, though, I should get on that) but ever since the start I've always respected how passionate and down to earth he is.

While I may never had played super Mario 64 till recently I did have the ds version and I could say it did influence me a bit but there was another game that helped me through the rough times of my childhood and kinda like Emile it shaped me into a better person. Though I still have some growing up to do I am glad to hear this from someone who in a sense knows where I’m coming from. What makes this particularly special to me is this was close to when Emile put Xenoblade Chronicles as his favorite game after almost 20 years of that title belonging to Earthbound
Talking about Mario 64 which helped him during a hard lot in life and may be the most important game in his growth, with his soon to be favorite game's music setting the emotional mood, and the fact that within a year I'd discover XC was my favorite game ever...literally the day before Emile announced he would be LPing the game. It was such a perfect storm

SM64 is the first video game I ever played. I'm not sure - and I don't need to know - how different it would be if I clearly remember another game being my very first. To this day, 3D platforming remains one of my favorite genres. (Kart racing and roller coaster simulators have joined my top ranks lol)

This is my Mario 64 story: I was a young kid my family had a gameboy advice a GameCube and we just got a Wii I was excited and because we didn’t have much for the Wii yet I found myself exploring what we could get for free. What I found was a app called ...UA-cam and when I turned it on I searched for “smash” (brawl being one of my favorite games at the time) what I found was the runaway guys subspace let’s play I quickly became attached to one of its members and when I searched for there name it came up with “chuggaaconroy super Luigi galaxy part 20something” then eventually it ended. After a bit Kirby’s epic yarn came and went then link’s awakening and then it happened. “Let’s play super Mario 64 DS” I had already gone back a watched the earlier series on Sunshine Luigi’s mansion and paper Mario 1&3 (and some others) but this was my first time since I started watching him that he was actively uploading a Mario let’s play series like he was when i first found him and though to this day I’ve never played much of super Mario 64 It still holds a place in my heart as one of my first and favorite series on UA-cam at the time and although I haven’t rewatched meany of the early series and his next let’s play of sonic colors is the series I associate most with my childhood super Mario 64 DS was a landmark for me from chuggaaconroy the UA-camr who influenced me the most and who I still know to be my favorite

It’s been 2 months since the allegations. Hearing this makes me sad. I wish he, his parents, his teachers, tried harder to get him involved in after school activities to help make friends. He had a broken childhood and turned to video games has his friends and family. It’s not healthy. In his development years, he needed people to show him how to act. I was as awkward as him. Probably more. If I did something stupid or inappropriate, I had friends, classmates, and peers to point it out. I played a lot of video games. A whole lot of them. They were fun. They were a great temporary escape. There were many times, I’d rather play games than hang out with people. I knew at the end of the day, they are just that entertainment. I have to thank my friends for being there for me. They helped kept meme grounded. We don’t get along today because I’m trans and they are anti trans. They were there in my childhood and now I can thrive on my own. I don’t harass girls, I can get girlfriends in my own country, and I get keep a real job. Things Chugga can’t say. No, video games don’t need banned. They don’t need government regulations. Kids should understand that they’re not their friends, family, or role models. They need human interaction to develop. If your kids use video games as the reason they are who they are today, you made a mistake somewhere. That is one advantage of online play today. At least you can get some conversation.
I’m not going make fun of Chugga like others would (Oh, you need to get outside and make friends instead of playing video games. Blah. Blah. Blah). Shut up. People like that aren’t better. They are here too. Obviously they play a lot of video games like the rest of us.
