The word of the Lord is so elegant, so intricate and so comforting and so beautiful. How we have been blessed by our Father in Christ Jesus and by The Spirit. Love brother David - Canada. God keep our land(s) glorious and free to hear and live the Gospel.
I started on my journey by reading Kenneth Gentry's book.. never finished it, because I wanted to stop and do more research. I was SURPRISED to learn later that he was not a full preterist.. because he brought me here. If I would have never read his book, I am not sure I would have started down the road.....Praise God that I did.. for so many reasons - to include my motivation to do more research, including listening to the scriptures every day!
@@ShadowofTheAlmighty I never read Demar, but Gentry confused me... so I am guessing either he is confused himself, doesn't want to let go of the futurist perspective (which I myself had a difficult time with) , does not want to lose his standing in the world of current mainstream "scholars", OR this affects his income in some way....
The fact that people like Wilson have been so focused on attacking covenant eschatology lately is a good sign that people are starting to pay attention to these ideas
Right.. they were eagerly expecting the end of the age and the messiah for a couple hundred years before Jesus. They were trying to get it to come bc they all thought they were in the appointed time. It's just like them trying to rebuild a new temple. When you have something saying do x for y to happen, they actively try to make it happen.
Old habits die hard. Let's continue to give KG and our brothers room and time and above all grace as we believe we have received.

Same here. My journey started with Demar and Gentry. And when I read their books I was a little baffled at the inconsistencies.

I think DeMar has moved closer to the full position. 🤔
Would love to see a debate between Don and Tovia Singer!
That suggestion has been made by others. We will see where it leads.

Great stuff guys. Where can I find more information about what you guys were discussing on Isaiah 61 and the 10th jubilee?
@MikeSullivan I'd like to see those "charts", Mike!😉
Got a link?
Valuable information from Don about the concept of death in the ANE.
@@joshuad4260 Ancient Near East.
Abhorrent is another tribulation - absolutely and also abhorrent that another Temple will be built.
G.K. Beale also points out the eschatological significance of the "now" time. I can see Beale's book over Mike's left shoulder. ;)
A debate with Tovia Singer would be amazing!

I definitely subscribe to the full preterist view on eschatology, but came up against Romans 8:11. Any thoughts?
What are your thoughts on Gal. 1:8,9? If preachers aren't preaching truth are they cursed?
It depends on the nature of what they are teaching. In Galatians that "different gospel" was imposing the Old Covenant on New Covenant Christians.
Chapt 8 conclusion to the Q. Sinned n fallen short of fhe GLORY of god
This would be the end of young-earth creationist ideology.
The implications here are massive.
