I think music in those days were composed and arranged carefully with Time and reasonable attention, 60% of music these days are just being done to get money, fame and attention only few musicians really get inspirations behind their work of art....thanks for the comment
You are right! The music from my time growing up didn't have all the "extra" technology, so if they were talented or not, you knew very quickly. I hope to see more videos from you listening to this great music!
Pure talent. They wrote these songs, sang them without autotune, accompanied by real musicians actually playing their instruments, and donated all of the proceeds from this performance to charity.
Yeah, there was plenty that sucked then, but I share those ever-more cherished memories of riding my bike thru the neighborhood and hearing tunes like this in the air.
Thanks for your face. It showed your admiration for this work. Apparently, according to his sounder mixer at the time, the lead singer here, Barry Gibb, could do 27 takes of the same song and every single note was exactly the same and pitch perfect. No need for autotune there.
This video comes from a performance at a 1978 UNICEF Concert. It was live. This is just their voices. Also, autotune was not invented until the early 1990's. The Bee Gee's didn't need anything like autotune. Amazing.
Thank you, thank you ,thank you !!! this is awesome, amazing, no body like them .only happens once In life time. Thank u for sharing, this is my generation.my heart feels warm 💓 💖 love it.
No auto tune in theme days just pure talent, actually the Bee Gees sang this in one take , I’ve seen them live, they first and foremost song writers before being vocalist, that was their love in live writing songs, other artists they have written songs for, Dolly Parton and kenny Rogers , Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross , and many others have also copied there songs!
I love watching all these young peoples reactions to some of these great old songs . It was a great time to be young. It’s hard to believe so many years have passed and we have lost so many great singer. Bee Gees one is the most talented! Sadly Barry is the only one left
BeeGees, The Brothers Gibb. Left, Robin Gibb; Middle, Barry Gibb; Right, Maurice Gibb.....Totally Awesome!!!" (Also, How Do You Mend A Broken Heart" and/or "How Deep Is Your Love"........)
3 brothers who grew up in Australia singing together as kids and writing and performing music since teenagers in late 50s and early 60s. They wrote music and lyrics and sang all of their own songs, as well as writing songs for other performers. Their harmonizing is natural and not forced. No auto tune on these songs. No formal music training. These are just their natural singing voices and harmonizing together. Started performing and recording in the 60s back in England. This is one of their most beautiful love songs. Music, lyrics and singing are perfect. And their songs got better and better over the years. And now their children are performing and touring. Barry, the oldest, is the only one left alive now but he is still writing and producing music and mentoring young musicians, after 64 years. If you want something different, listen to High Civilization album.
They are the Gibb brothers. The oldest is Barry (middle), the other two are twins Robyn (left) and Maurice (right). They started performing & writing songs since they were little kids. Their voices blend like one. They are amazing! They donated all proceeds from this song to UNICEF.
I'm 65 years old and I lived thru that era; I can tell you for a fact that this song along with Barry White's 'Can't get enough of your love" contributed to a whole lot of babies being born.
Thank you for not interrupting and commenting. I've liked and subscribed to your channel. No auto tune (wasn't around in the 70s) and no pitch correction, just three beautiful harmonious voices. This is the music of my era and at 69 years of age, I still love the Bee Gees. Check out Fanny Be Tender, How Deep is Your Love, Alone, and many others.
Love the Bee Gees they are the best group ever! These three brothers are so talented in so many ways. They have a thousand songs recorded. Check out....How deep is your love.....Night Fever..... Alone...... Tragedy......To love Somebody..... Staying Alive.....Nights on Broadway and so many more. Great reaction.... subscribed!
I wouldn't change a thing I love the Era I grew up in I love being in my 60's I just pray for the generations behind me because I think they will struggle with the world we live in and music is the least of they're problems. Prayers for the next generations 🙏
Thanks for such a deep and emotional reaction. We will never be able to hear such intense, and well taught out music like the music from the 70's era again.
That's true....after listening to them I feel like we younger generation could emulate them and bring such a dynamic and realistic performances with no auto tune or special effects to the music we are doing these days just like the ones back in the days, I also feel like we are missing out a lot...Thanks for your comment I appreciate
It's so awesome to know that the music I grew up with is not lost on time and that many of the younger generation enjoy and appreciate the great tunes of the past. God bless you all.
This is from the 1970s, The Bee Gees are a group of three brothers, Barry (the lead singer in this), Robin, and Maurice (the one with the beard), their last name is Gibb, Brothers Gibb = BGs so The Bee Gees. They were originally from the UK, but moved to lived in Australia when they were young, they had many hits from the late '60s through to the '80s and beyond, they wrote all of their songs. Some songs to check out by them are: 'You Should be Dancing', 'Night Fever', 'Staying Alive', 'More Than a Woman', 'How Deep is Your Love', and 'Jive Talkin'.
My parents saw them singing in a shopping mall/centre in Sydney, in the 60's I think, they were only kids, and, my parents said they were amazing back then.
They started singing together as little boys. Their mum was a singer in the UK gave it up to have kids. Their harmonies are so practised, it's like instinct. They wrote the song, so know it so well, it's easy. Barry can do the same thing 5 times in a row, with exactly the same notes, timing and inflection. Pure musical talent, it doesn't hurt that he often writes the music. They were signed at ages 6 and 9, in the 60's, the parents had to agree and sign them up, as they were legally too young to sign contracts.
No other voices like the BeeGees. They wrote all their music and music for other people. Listen to Staying Alive. Run Yo Me, Fanny Be Tender With My Heart. Loved you reaction
Are you sure you haven’t heard their music before??? Please react to STAYIN ALIVE (official video), and know that they are top singers, writers, musicians and producers over six decades, and are naturally gifted brothers. Barry Gibb (singing lead) is still living. Robin (no beard) and Maurice are twins, 3 years younger than Barry. To hear Robin’s super unique lead vocals, please react to I STARTED A JOKE. I would recommend the 1989 Live concert video, but the 1968 promo video is also great. Thanks for keeping their music alive!
Please try Fanny Be Tender With My Love, Rings Around the Moon, Heart Like Mine, For Whom The Bell Tolls. There are so many great songs by the Brothers Gibb. Dive in! 🥰
Thank my friend you're so beautiful and your reaction is very just I loved the bee gees I'm French woman it's music romantic thank kiss from from. France 💋❤️❤️🗼🇫🇷
The Bee Gees wrote & released Too Much Heaven in 1978. It was climbing charts world wide (already #1 in US & Canada, #3 in UK) before the Jan 1979 fundraiser, “Music for UNICEF.” They then donated, in perpetuity, ALL their royalties, not just from the UNICEF event, merch & compilation album (as the other bands did, though some just for a limited time), but also their publishing rights. So, UNICEF continues to get paid, from anyone’s version & any use (including in movies, TV, commercials, etc). As the 1st band to make such a donation to charity, they were recognized for it by UN Secretary General, Kurt Waldheim & invited to the White House by President Carter. The last official tally I saw was 2017, saying UNICEF had received more than $11 million from it, for emergency food & healthcare. I’ve seen others post it hit 20 million as of 2019, but I haven’t found a solid source for that. Barry included the song on his 2021 hit album, Greenfields, so that (duet with Alison Krauss) will bring UNICEF even more $$.
This music was everything right in our generation this music is US wouldn't trade my music nor the Era I grew up in..thank you Bee Gees for making our memories our love songs.
Actually, the Gibb brothers used to be a foursome. The youngest, Andy, performed alone and was not part of the BeeGees. He died in 1988, the first of the brothers. Maurice died in 2003, his twin brother Robin in 2012. Barry, the eldest of the Gibb brothers is now 75 years old and "The Last BeeGee". "My greatest regret is the every brother i have lost was in a moment we were not getting on. And so i have to live wirh that." These are Barry's emotional words in an interview, then he bursts into tears.
Listening to the Bee Gees takes over the whole Soul and Body...its like something no one has ever heard before... those sounds came straight out of Heaven. Then the sadness that they died so early , all of them except one. Barry walks alone without them. 💔🤦♀️🙆♀️🧡❤
Whenever I hear these wonderful brothers sing this song, I can't help thinking that Maurice & Robin have stopped waiting in line, and have gotten their Heaven. Andy has as well, so just our Barry is waiting now. What wonderful voices we were privileged to hear, those many years ago, and we were too young to really appreciate the magic. But now I do - I really, really do. Thank you for this one!
Thank you for this reaction! The Bee Gees Rabbit Hole is wide and deep and magical! They had hits in every decade into 2000's. If you start with their earliest years (1950's) and go through their latest as a group (2003 when Maurice died)-- you will see how they adapted to various styles of music and kept relevant. I particularly like their Still Waters album of 1997, but to get a true appreciation of their ability to adapt, I'd start at the beginning. :) Robin died in 2012 and Barry is the only brother remaining. He was knighted in 2018 by Prince Charles.
Only the Beatles had more #1 hits. They are often dismissed as a Disco band but actually did very little disco music (they did half the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever). There earlier music like Massachusetts and New York Mining Disaster 1941 are phenomenal
they became really popular in the u.s. in the later 1970's, when the movie "night fever" came out starring john travolta. i was in middle school then. at least with most of my schoolmates, the bee gees were considered uncool. but i always enjoyed listening to them. great vocals, unmatched harmonies, good songs. as i have gotten older, i appreciate and enjoy their singing a lot more.
As is mentioned somewhere below, the Bee Gees used their falsetto voices, which is a way of singing in a higher pitch than their natural voices. It is a pretty distinctive sound that they were terrific at.
These brothers used to write a song in less than 15 minutes sometimes and often recorded a song on the first take. They were musical geniuses. They had over a thousand songs over 5 decades and wrote and sang them all.
Please dear God..don't get mad! This is what music is without all the bull crap..not like music today isn't good. This is just more real and without much production value, other than just moving a camera around for angles..lol
Too Much Heaven. The video is from the Bee Gee's live performance at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.
It always makes me smile to see young people react to the great music my generation grew up with!

@@hisvoice9239 I love harmonies! Bee Gees are,in my opinion, the epitome of such
Here,too!
They just don't know what we experienced when we were growing up
Notice that there are three singers and one mike. No autotune, and their harmony had to be perfect for the entire song, and it is.
Yea that's really incredible.... thanks
Pure talent. They wrote these songs, sang them without autotune, accompanied by real musicians actually playing their instruments, and donated all of the proceeds from this performance to charity.
Never get tired of watching you younger people experience the BeeGees! And man what an experience! Pure, raw talent
They only had 1 mike between the 3 of them
...pure ,heavenly talent!!!💋🙆♀️❤😇
The older I get the more I realize how great it was to grow up with the music of the 70's.
Yeah, there was plenty that sucked then, but I share those ever-more cherished memories of riding my bike thru the neighborhood and hearing tunes like this in the air.
They wrote, sang and produced as well as arranged the music all themselves. Musical geniuses all of them.
Yes they did and they can't read music at all. I adore the BeeGees!
The BeeGees were masters of this kind of beautiful music. It’s great to see the younger generation appreciate the music I grew up with.
Thanks
Angelic.
3 brothers in real life, one mic, crystal clear lyricks with NO autotune.
No auto tune, just pure talent
No one feels music any more. They just say the words with a beat.60,70,80's actually love the songs they were singing.
This was a live performance & their voices are perfection.

They were uncanny in how their live performances were exactly like the recorded version. Even very good singers themselves marveled at that.
This Guy’s expressions are PRICELESS ❤
Surely one of the best songs ever.
This song is among the ALL TIME GREATEST songs ever. Top 5 on Any list.
