Thank you just turned 61 and I have these symptoms. The skin is even dry around the bump. No pain just worried. I feel better knowing it's not serious.
MY BURSITIS LOOK EXACTLY THE same , after getting tired from the way they looked , i used sringes to drain it out , the first sringe was filled with light brownish fluid , the second drain was mostly the same with some light blood the third drain was all blood , of course i stopped .., the lump was reduced and not fully inflated like before , now i will start with your recommandation by using ice twice a day
For real. I got this from grappling and it's killing my training. No push ups , pull ups ,heavy bag, sparring. I've lost so much strength in the upper body and my striking skills have declined rapidly. It fucking blows.
The compression works. I bought an elbow compression sleeve (NOT one with an open elbow) that just slips on over the elbow and extends slightly above the elbow and to the top of the forearm. I've been wearing it all day, every day for 2 weeks (take it off at night) and my bursitis is almost gone. Ice pack whenever possible. Pad anything you frequently hit or rest your elbow on so it doesn't keep contacting the same spot - like the arm rest in my car. Good luck. This is working for me - the stabilization of the elbow skin seems to be what it needs to return to normal.
After drawing fluid off it came back within 2 weeks. What worked best was wrapping my elbow with cabbage at night as I sleep. It went down slowly every night. After a month I stopped when it didn’t go any further and I did nothing. A month later it was all gone on its own. I never had any pain.
I heard about using a cabbage leaf on another thread.. they also recommend cabbage leaves for nursing mothers when they're in pain.. so must be something in this.. going to go down this path .. fingers crossed
@@gailhastings3826 I used a clear wrap and an ace bandage to keep the cabbage in place while I slept. It did work for me. I had a doctor telling me to have surgery and I didn’t want too. Two and a half months it is like new. Good luck and I prayed over it too.
Thanks for the tip. I am wondering if spinach would work as well as cabbage because Popeye always recommended spinach to make you strong to the finach.
Short, sweet, and to the point. My doctor felt my bursitis was not serious enough for aspiration, so I am trying icing and compression as shown here. What type of ice pack was show in the video? Thanks.
@@joeslacker1020 Hi, Joe. Not as big actually. I bought an ice pack and consistently used compression. But I gave myself ice burn. so I had quit icing for awhile. Hope you are all better by now. I had the same symptoms. I had a similar situation but I let it go and seemed like the fluid spread throughout my forearm and after 3rd week I no longer see the formation around the forearm. I still have half of the size bump on my elbow and still very tender.
I've just realised I've got this condition. Mines not painful and dont know how I caused it but my elbow is puffy. Just wondered is still ok to train weights (as long as the elbow isnt being rested on a hard surface) and do things like pushups? Or is that going to prevent the fluid from dissipating?
