Leave it to HP to make everything a pain. That tape you used will break instead of pull out though won't it? Hopefully they don't need to replace the screen for any reason.

when buying a new screen to replace does the model number has to be the exact same?
My model is 15-dy5033dx but not seeing any replacement screen with that exact model number

As long as it’s the same size, the brackets fit the same screw position, and the pin connector is correct, it should work.
