People that get sent this unit for free always seem to give a good review. Those that purchase it are usually disappointed. Anyone noticed this?
Looks like we have the same goals for summer, keep our old pups cool 💯 it seems the older Frank gets the less tolerant he is to extreme heat and last summer was WAY TOO HOT up here so I'm making plans to do what I can to help him out.
I'm floored at the effectiveness of this small but might AC unit. Sierra LOVES it!
Nice man, thought about taking them up on sending me one of those, but just stuck with my honda 1000 and a 6,000 btu unit in the camper haha
Yeah, I have to use my 6000btu in the camper but this is great for my small little 24 sq ft topper! I'm shocked the battery can push this for 9 hours on low. Cheers to staying cool when it's hot out!

$2,000?! This is a joke, right? This is not a realistic solution, your better off rigging a window A/C for a 1/15th of the price.
Due to the current financial situation, feeling good is no longer 100 bucks, it's 1,000$.
Apparently you haven't met Wendy. $50 bucks for a feel good.
I'm sorry man, I really do hope everything turns around and gets to back to normal for you and many others.
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures just goofin... Keep it simple and life is good.
Love all your videos, personal lifestyle and adventure videos and product review videos. Keep them coming Brian.
Thanks Jeanne, will do...I'll keep all the videos coming! Lots of cool stuff down here in Bisbee, this is such a neat town. :)
We've had it for a while. As long as you don't expect it to do more than it was designed for, it's great. We're using it in the bedroom. It will NOT cool the whole room down. It will, however, blow cool air over the bed, allowing us to sleep great in hot weather. I like it. When it's not too hot, the fan mode is good.
I hope you and Sierra are having a blast! A/c definitely makes it way more comfortable for baby girl! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
I’ve been waiting for this review, thanks so much Brian! Is it safe to assume the difference $ of units equates to cooling capacity sqft? Dig the 🚀 ship icon!
Hey Robert, I think you are asking about the specific models on their website? If that's the case the difference In price correlates to how many batteries are included. You can purchase one without the battery if you plan to plug this into a lithium ion battery or wall plug. Let me know if you have any additional questions, have a great weekend! ~ Brian
Brian, reading the website it appears it runs on 24volts and the battery requires 24 volts to charge. How are you powering and charging it?
I have been waiting for something like this!!
To make a small AC unit like this work better and less in the desert heat for sure . Is insulating the bed & shell some or a lot with something for sure. If it is sealed well to keep hot air commming in likr a little heater is a start & covering up the windows to keep the sun out and the tempout side comming through some from them helps some too . Spray foam might be a way if it is safeand covered inside for better looks as well woukd be nice. The cheap easy way to do it and make look a little better eaasy
I'm not an air conditioning expert, but from my experience with portable A/C's I'm pretty sure it will cool better if you kept the unit inside the topper instead of the Pickup cabin for it to be able to extract heat more efficiently.
Cool product.
@Aj Unless this design is completely different from every other a/c in the market, you need a return to extract the hot air from the area you are trying to cool 🤷
@Aj maybe will only save a few degrees in cooling... But a few hours in battery life since it will cool with less effort.
It definitely would help if the inlet air is in the cooling zone and only the exhausted air was vented outside the cooling zone.
It's all good, honestly I'm only using the setting 3 out of 5 because it gets too cold in my topper (even on 90F days in full sun) so I really think it's a non issue at this point as to if it's in the topper or not. If I was right on the edge of being warm then I'd look to make changes but as long as my windows are cracked in the cab to let in fresh air, I'm good. Hope you all have a great afternoon! ~ Brian
@Aj A good functioning A/C unit will have a 20 degree delta T across the evaporator from return air to supply air, the lower temp across the evaporator will correlate to a lower supply air temp. Example, if the return air is 90F the supply air will be 70F but as the cooled space is lowered and it’s pulling a cooler return the delta T will correlate. So before the A/C unit is turned on it’s 85F the Supply air will be 65F. After two hours of cooling and the zone be cooled drops to 75F and if the return air is now 75F the new supply air will now be 55F but if he was pulling the return air from the non-cooled zone that is also dumping the hot rejected air into the non-cooled zone, you will be fighting against the design of how an HVAC system works.
Wow! That’s way too much money! I’m living in a camper because I c as my s as ford rent anymore and spending that much on any product defeats my long term goals wow lol but who ever has the extra for comfort more power to you :) God bless!
Watching Sierra relaxing in the truck reminds me of my childhood dog whom slept in mom & dad's room. He would bark for dad to turn on the window AC unit in there bedroom on hot days. 🤣🤣
I'm going to try it. Realistically we only need to keep part of the bedroom cool for sleeping and would only use it a few weeks of the year. We might have to hang something to partition the room to keep the space small.
I was so excited, then I saw the price. Personally, I would switch to an EV before I would spend this kind of money for this. Great idea, but several hundred dollars too expensive in my opinion.
Thanks for tuning in, hope you have a great weekend. ~ Brian
This is exciting. I've been reluctant to travel with my cat over concerns about the temps. I'm still struggling to understand the electricity component. How long could I run this off a Jackery 240, Jackery 290, or Jackery 880? If anyone can answer that, I'd be grateful !!!!!

For a girl, It’s not too heavey to lift it, convienience to carry it for your trip .
Is your vehicle insulated? I have a Ford transit 250 that is not insulated and I’m wondering how much help this would be

Awesome!!! Thanks for the detail!
Hey Donya! Happy Saturday to you and Priya!
Thanks Brian! Just ordered a unit with a battery. I have been looking at this unit for at least a year and will use it mainly for camping in our 20 foot trailer with my two schnauzers.
Can't wait to take it for a test run to Arizona and New Mexico, maybe Utah. Will not have to worry about my pups in the trailer while I shop for food n stuff.
Hey Margaret, I've found this is sufficient for my 17 foot trailer up to about 90F. At that point I can still stay cool if I point it directly at me and Sierra. It does great for my little truck camper shell but has to work pretty hard to maintain if I'm in my 17ft trailer in full sun. However, I'm sure parking in the shade would help the performance too. Just wanted to share my experience so far. Hope you have a great weekend!
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures As I said above I ordered my unit with a battery but it seems my order is stuck in either Shanghai or a city in the western provinces. Ratz!

Thanks Diane! I'm really pleased to be carrying this with me full-time as it opens up so much more terrain for us to enjoy!
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures Mine arrives next week. I can't believe how quickly they shipped. Like I previously said, this is in so many of the off-grid trailers sold. I just need to bling my truck out like you.
Do you still have this unit? And what are your thoughts on it now?
Hate to be a downer. I have V1 Zero Breeze. The company sucks (unless you are a YT influencer) Mine will not run plugged into 120 house…..you must use the battery (which DOES NOT lock to the unit) as it will ONLY run off the battery which CAN NOT be charged while in use. I get 3, to 3.5 hrs use. Dealing with the company if you have a problem……good luck. It is useful. It runs but with MANY limitations. Great vid Brian. I truly hope V2 is WAY better than mine.
@Aj maybe wait a year for competition. Why would u buy off a company that sold u junk already?
Hey Jazzy, yeah I actually heard the first version had issues. I'm really sorry to hear you had all those frustrations which haven't been resolved. I always hate it when situations like that happen.

Love this small but mighty AC unit!
Thanks for this video, man.
This is what I need. Many people made car camping video without ac. Your car camper has ac, that's a big plus. 👍
Btw, you talked very fast 😅
Not the application I'm after though I bet this video yields many results looking for a battery AC solution for my hatchback up to 90 minutes per day on my split shift break at work.
Hello. Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The AC Unit looks great! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I love it!
Thanks.
Interesting tech
Keeping pets and older pets with ailments comfortable is important
That music …
TV Barretta re-runs ?
Maybe I should reread the original write-up and comments again. The first time through I didn't see anything about how and where to get this unit serviced.
Brian, it's perfect timing that this video came up on my feed! My husband has been looking into a battery operated AC
With all the fires, happy to hear from you and Sierra. AC is top priority for me. Thank you for info.
Hi TheEmster2011! Yeah, AC is so nice to have out here...this is something I should have done a while ago.
Brian how are you charging batteries with the bluetti
Maxflo???
How would this work in the big horn tent, that's what I have as well, planning on doing a beach trip this summer with the family
The tunes and the very end Rock ! Remind me of Jeff Beck. Good day Brain
👍👍 thanks Guys!!
Nice Brain got to keep our favorite sweet dog cool.
She's definitely my #1 priority!
Ok u had the link. Definitely not cheap but if it works and lasts it is worth it
What's the average temp while sleeping? What's the lowest it could go
How long will the battery dies when you have it on rocket?
Sierra looks great, happy to see her :-) AC unit looks like a great idea.
Tried to use your link, but the site is gone......
Iam sure you aware of the big fire in Arizona stay safe.
How much is the ac? Looks good and great for a small space
2 grand.
I'll sweat.
I wish I could afford one. I will need to try a portable stand-up AC.

Haha, I love rockin' it!
Is that the plus Extra? I love that!!
❤❤❤👋😁
A zero breeze will hopefully be in the future for my truck camper!

Wonderful!!
Can u add a extra battery or is it just 1 battery option
Hi Chilly Mack, I think it's just one battery at a time. I'm not sure if you can daisy chain them.
yes it is oñe batery at tme
That shirt is the best!
Thanks man, I picked it up at REI a while back.
