    • @D00kerT

      @@alishaanthony2789 This is the depth of irrationality and pure emotion that society is dealing with people. This woman, Alisha, is incapable of setting aside her emotions and looking at the facts of this case. Namely that Cyntoia was not "a little girl". It is this kind of redefining of language that is a quintessential feature of the social justice left, warping and twisting language to give it the hardest (yet most dishonest) emotional impact as possible in order to demonize (as she does here) their opponents. It is laughably predictable.

      jack brandt I think it’s self evident that this was a gross miscarriage of justice. The only way that she was seasoned, was being a kid. The idea that giving a minor life in prison is something that only started in the last half century at most. Anyone that knows anything about sixteen year old girls knows that they are commonly not completely sane in the first place. Should they be allowed to kill without consequences? Of course not, but the consequences should be very limited. I’m sure that if this man was as good as you say he was, he would have been horrified by this injustice.

      @Truthbetold if he had no idea how old she was, then he clearly has no concern for the law. He showed her his guns, and as an older man, while she is in his house, she feels threatened. 16 is still a kid. If you want to talk about responsibility, this guy soliciting a 16 year old "unknowingly" for sex and having her in his house while he was sleeping..he makes bad decisions. An abused traumatized CHILD who does not know another life, as she is only 16, is going to be more paranoid and hyper aware of things like someone waving a weapon at her (showing her he has weapons, obviously was sending a message). Why would he show her he has a gun? Just for fun? I don't think so. This girl does not need to be further traumatized, by a man who had all the experience and peace to make the right decisions, and he didn't. If this grown man makes such poor decisions, why on earth are you only targeting a 16 year old for hers?

    • @belladonna5904
      @belladonna5904 4 роки тому

      @Truthbetold she didn't walk out the house because she didn't want him to wake up and possibly shoot her. I remember hearing that many Mexican kids ended up in gangs because of feeling they don't belong, seeking to feel accepted.
    This sounded to me like a very dumb excuse, until I got to experience what they were talking about.
    These kids are so young that they don't understand the thread and fall for it; just like this girl, Santoya.
    Fortunately for me, I am not building my character. I had a very stable childhood. It's a pity many children don't even realize that they are actually pushed into becoming an outcast.

    I sympathize with the guest Cyntoia. As a male who didn't see the barriers to speaking out at the earliest onset of the metoo movement, I've come to see often for women there is no one that treats an incident with urgency except you.
    The way she describes speaking out twice and then facing consequences rather than being helped... That ws my worst nightmare as a child. To be abducted in a crowd of people, and to scream only to go hoarse and have nobody hear my screams. Grateful for her resilience and that she can will herself to keep working on this for other women.
    Also, anybody find Amy repeatedly mischaracterizes the story? Cyntoia corrected her several times. First about the way she identifies the first man as "her rapist" but in fact it was an act of self defense to someone who appeared threatening. Then about the second guy who Amy said was "sexually abusing her" when in fact he was on the phone and made an inappropriate sexually suggestive comment while she was a minor. Unusual of Any to not have the story down and report it, especially when the guest is there to speak for herself. Not sure why this bothers me. It was almost like she was forcing Brown to further cast herself as a victim when the story is bad enough..

    We need to do better as a society to try and help troubled teenagers rehabilitated BEFORE it's too late.. This poor girl had already been in the court system before she killed the John. Sometimes, a person's life gets swept up in a current that is out of their control. A child by the simple fact that they are a child doesn't even know it. By the time they realize it, they're in a situation they never intended to be. She said her bad attitude started in the 6th grade. The intervention, counseling, advising should've started then. But we as a society are just too quick to hand down punitive charges which just makes these kids easy prey for the predators like Cuthroat to take advantage of them. Because they are not given any other alternative but to continue a life of destruction. We, as a society, are failing our troubled youth. We need to do better. We need to help them BEFORE it gets to this point not after the fact.

    this is difficult for me. I worked in juvenile for many years. I have read many case notes just like hers. The news is just getting ratings from her. What makes her different? Many of these girls run away from home and end up with a dude that pimps them out. the mother she was born to was not her fault. she knew right from wrong. what was it that lead her to make the choices that she did? when others chose different. they are able to persevere and move on with their lives. the hurt never goes away but it doesn't dictate the rest of their lives.

    She wasn’t being trafficked,said pimp was her boyfriend!she willingly went out that day alone to make money,no pimp around!she slept with the man and shot him in the back after when he slept!robbed his house for guns,money,stole his car and went around spending his money on food and clothes for the boyfriend!this is a sick example of how woman can cry wolf and get away with murder!!!!

    You know alot of people say that she never should of being in there for so long , but in a way while she was in there an having to abide by the rules ,she would of being doing classes , therapeutic Programmes , getting help she so badly needed . Now if she hadnt of being taken away from what she was doing on the outside she might not be the Woman she is today.
