Giving myself away, but I actually watched this car/team race at US 30 dragstrip many years ago a number of times, sure brings back some awesome memories!
I have never been a direct fan of Chrysler vehicles, but you have to respect the Hemi Barracuda of Sox & Martin, regardless of your favorite brand. The cars of S&M have always been beautifully prepared and run by a first class team. They are the Legend that they earned and deserve! 🏆🏁
I never was also but they were always my toughest competitors in street racing. I think due to all the forged parts their engine had, which are getting harder to find these days.
Saw this car at Atco Dragway in NJ in numerous match races against Grumpy, Dick Landy, Dyno Don, and so on. Also in open competition many times at Atco, Maple Grove, and York and win against the cream of NHRA SS crop during the late 1960s.

Beyond awesome. Sox and Martin were legendary, as was their HEMI.

I love the young people excited about this area of racing. All the cars had different levels of creativity. Today is just cookie cutter race cars.

Beautiful ! 🇺🇸💪👍🏻
In more than a few clips this car sounds like it has an automatic transmission in it and not the 4 speed stick it should have.
He needs to take it to the street and go through the gears!!!
Yes, the Spark Plugs where begging for mercy. Cold Oil etc. was like'n the screwing around driving.
Stick shift going by its class. I would have taken real driving skill to make it run consistent Elapsed Times!
I would pay to see that for sure!
I went to elementary school with his georgios daughter.
Always thought the Barracuda looked great.
2:56 I watched Sox @Martin race this car at Englishtown in 1969. 😅
Sprint Cars with massive squeeze are best
There was a very good reason why they called Ronnie sox "Mr. 4 speed" eh.
