    I have been diving with the blu3 nemo and pulsedive for almost a year now. Love them both but wish the pulsedive had an option for waterproof headphones; as my ears fill up with water. Found 37 rings last summer in my local lake. Excellent product

      I use cotton wool(in ears), swim cap and dive Hoody,(these 3 combine to keep most of the water out),, I use the headphones with Anfibio, Simplex and Legend while Snorkelling or Free Diving with the above ear protection combination,,, I don't think the headphones on its own will keep the water out as much as other ear covering devices,,,, but yes agree it would enhance the sound effects if you could pair up the pulse dive with head phones.,,, If you make the waterproof headphones cord strong enough you wont need a lanyard,, then I would be interested

      And just to add , After 2 years I've never changed the orings,, I do silicone them now and then. And its not such a great necessity to clean the sand or remove the cover on the 4" or 8" that often at all.. Also just rinse your machine well and use a brush when the machine's dry ,before and after you put the cap on,, and if the o-ring has some sand stuck on ; brush it off or take off by rinsing in running water, dry with towel ,silicone and put back.

      @@jlfguthrie It was a friends gold ring she bought in India so maybe it was fake or soemthing, im buying a new Nokta Makro as my last one leaked due to not tightening it properly, i used it for about a week in Mauritius whilst snorkelling and found a lot of stuff, just not gold. Im buying a new one nexr week with both coils and then heading back to Mauriitius where ill be using it several hours a day, cant wait, love this hobby!!!!! Also bought a minelab equinox 800 but havent used it much, already looking at the Deus 2, was thinking of coming to Cape Town to buy one whilst im in Mauritius as the UK have no stick currnetly! Also found it to be an excellant pinpointer, up there with the best!

    How does one compensate / tune out mineralization? And which sensitivity settings are best for saltwater?

    • @marcsmetaldetecting2477
      @marcsmetaldetecting2477 3 роки тому

      You shouldn't have issues with salt or minerals using the pulse dive,, but if its falsing just push the on (closest button too coil) quickly once. ; Its the reset button or ' ""ground balance '" button.

    • @MetalDetectingMDSA
      @MetalDetectingMDSA  2 роки тому

      Hi Tim's Adventure, the first thing we recommend is to make sure that your coil cover is clean and there is no dirt in it. Check to make sure that the Coil plug is correctly attached, maybe remove it and fit it again to make sure. Worst case, contact your local dealer and ask them to check it for you and get you hunting again.

    • @Tim_clips

      @@MetalDetectingMDSA Thank you guys but I have taken off the coil and cleaned it it's only not working because it just beeps as it hit the floor. I also got the detector from your store so I don't know whered any dealers are.

    Thanks for the interesting vid, guys! I just wanna go snorkeling with it, but do u always have to put it in dive mode, even when im not deep in the water and just snorkeling?

    • @MetalDetectingMDSA
      @MetalDetectingMDSA  2 роки тому +1

      It is not necessary to put it into dive mode every time. Dive mode is a safety feature that would prevent buttons from being pushed while diving. Good luck on your diving adventures 🙂

    Needs like a built in classifier in the middle of the loop perhaps cast with the the coil cover. Or maybe a fan or water pump system on the loop to blow the sand away. A telescopic end and a bracelet lanyard......if they made a connecter so you can fit 2 together like a y or like a 2 sided staff. That would be interesting for more ground coverage.

    • @marcsmetaldetecting2477
      @marcsmetaldetecting2477 3 роки тому +1

      mmmmm 8inch one side and pin-pointer other side,, with easy switch button,,, light on coil not on shaft. And apparently somebody was designing a type of discriminating sea pin-pointer.

  • @marcsmetaldetecting2477
    @marcsmetaldetecting2477 3 роки тому

    Just to add,,, I was incorrect to say that the sand stuck under the cover causes falsing,,,, naaaaa it doesnt actually.

    • @marcsmetaldetecting2477
      @marcsmetaldetecting2477 3 роки тому

      I cant actually think of an occasion where a pulse machine falses because of sand stuck under the cover. I could be wrong but after watching this video relized that for 3 months straight using the pulse dive almost every day I didnt clean out any sand that might of been stuck between the coil and cover.And had no issues,,, but remember I do rinse it very well always.

    Be a good pinpointer/diving detector i think if they could build in the iron discrimination capability of a minelab pinpointer pro. Did have a look at that detector but with the large coil upgrade it was a pretty pricey item. Just $100AUD more bought a detectorpro UW8 on sale. Definitely need some kind of discrimination for the trashy iron rivers I like to detect.

    I heard he has to turn the sensitivity all the way down on the pulsedive because of his huge brass balls,there is no way I'm getting in shark infested waters where some of the worlds biggest White sharks thrive, nope not worth it especially at night no no no!
