    Que bom. Parabéns. Sou inglês de ascendência cipriota e eu falo português do Brasil mas eu entendo português de Portugal mais ou menos. Estou aprendendo português há um ano. Este ano estou estudando espanhol também. A propósito, eu e meus pais fomos a Porto Santo para uma semana para férias no ano passado e eu consegui conversar com os locais lá. Divertimo-nos moito. É uma ilha muito bonita. Em geral, os portugueses são muito amigáveis e hospitaleiros. Eu falo português todos os dias com um dos meus amigos que é do Brasil, de Belém. Muito útil!

    This was so useful! Thanks/tak! I’ve just added Portugal to my short list of countries I’d like to retire in. I’m from California, and the climate is rather similar. I watched 2 of Mia’s videos and I really liked the sound of the language more than I thought. I’ll be watching more of her videos soon. I just need Portugal to let vaccinated Americans in (I’m happy to wait until it’s safe).

    Listen to children’s stories in portuguese - and repeat, repeat, repeat. Watch the commercials and “Telenovelas”; get a “Speaking Buddy” to speak to in Portuguese every week; bem vindos a Portugal!

      You won't regret to subscribe ;-) We are not like many of the other content creators. We don't live of this, we have real jobs - and only do UA-cam when we have a few hours here and there. So most certainly, we will never copy - but when we see a topic maybe in a Facebook Group with someones frustration - we will put our experiences together and see if someone is interested :-)

    congratulations on learning my language! if you feel in trouble while conjugating the verbs just try the old trick of just using the infinitive, and it will get you by most of the times - promised. good luck!

    Just found your channel. Love your energy. I’m sooo struggling with learning the language. I really need to learn with real people because I get so bored 😩 . I’m so impatient too so I’m going to check out the Udemy one.

    to my girlfriend was me of course and she enjoy two UA-cam channels "Portuguese with Leo" and "Talk the streets".
    The "Portuguese with Leo" have the most Lisbon accent there is in all UA-cam Channels.

    I'm Jamaican and I'm learning French and Italian right now. I found Portuguese very difficult, but would love to give it another shot.

      You don't learn any language in 6 months
      But if you're determined to learn you learn
      If I'm the president or the prime minister everyone live in the country permanently had to learn the language to now and understand the culture
      But I'm not prime minister or president

      If you are able to learn French or Italian is easy to learn Portuguese also
      All became from latin so if learn one you can learn the others

    One suggestion, I watch a lot of UA-cam and I've never seen the zoom in and out for editing. As a viewer, it's hard to watch. Could you try a few different editing techniques, please?
    Your channel is awesome and the content really practical and useful for people who would love to move there. I've subscribed and will follow your videos. Cheers

    Don't reffer to "european portuguese", just portuguese. The "portuguese" spoken by brasilians has little to do with portuguese as they already "twisted" the language enough, to the point of being unable to understand portuguese of Portugal when they arrive here. All other countries stick to correct portuguese, either in Africa or Asia.

      You are correct. Brasilian portuguese 'language' is an absolute mess. Definitely, get away of it !

      It’s similar to saying Spanish in Spain vs. Mexico. Different dialects. Saying it is a mess is rude.
