Those big beautiful white stakes, all over the world, means out of bounds. That means, if you think or know you have hit past them, is to hit a provisional ball from where you played the original ball from! Playing provisional means 3rd shot of the tee! Calling the provisional ball protects you from having a round that is incomplete since playing an out of bounds ball is illegal! If you find that the original ball is not out of bounds, you can pick up the provisional ball and play the original ball! It also saves you time, since going back to the tee box after finding your ball OOB, will add 5 to 10 min in completing the hole, depending on if you are walking or riding in golf cart! Good golfing Mia😊😊😊😊!

Actually some courses have a local rule that lets you drop a ball instead of having to retee.

We’ve all had those rounds Mia. About 4 rounds ago played worst round in about 25 years. Week later 2 round club medal took extra score card and put down what I need to score for handicap found this helped as didn’t get too desperate if had a double bogey etc. Came 4 th in comp took point 6 off handicap. last week played at Brean in Somerset did same thing Par 68 shot 82 against my handicap of 22. Now I have changed my putting grip and putter which has increased my confidence but honestly having a that score is not a disaster in my mind works wonders. Mind you you are a better player than me still food for though. Keep going

I think the best way to improve when you're on a course is to add 1 shot to the hole par score, that way there's no pressure on yourself to shoot low,it will come eventually.good luck on your quest this season..Don't back off just go for it!

I recommend a putting routine. Especially on the short puts like 3 or 4 feet. They are so easy to miss if you don;t approach them just like every other put. Don't just walk up and hit it it's still a stroke if you miss.

It happens to the best of. us, maybe swap the stealth irons for something with less offset like a p790 or 770 because the more offset the more left miss and you are a good ball striker on your day

Out of Bounds on white stakes indicates hitting a provision from tee box or if your not hit and discovered it in the OB area then you must go back and hit from previous shot area.

Good effort and fun entertainment Mia, thanks. I continue to be impressed with your golf progress, especially given the short time you’ve been playing. You’ve come a long way from when I saw you play w Rick Shiels.
A few comments about Hcp. A par 70 5800 yard course is actually pretty hard for women, there were some par 4’s over 400 yards today and that’s difficult.
If the course rating is about 74 for women (I found it was 68+ or men) you’d have a “course Hcp” of about 78.5.
With the Hcp system we should only play TO our Hcp about 1 of 4 rounds and BEAT it only 1 of 5 as estimates. You’ll do a little better than that as a relatively new golfer who is quickly improving.
Keep working on the short game and putting. 😊

Only my opinion but Annika Sorenstam teaches us about the think and action box. You explain the hole and the shot, which is really great, but you're turned all the way around facing the camera behind you. Maybe it should be UA-cam explanation facing the camera, then when you get prepared to hit you face the target for the think and action?

Golf is an evil sport. Been playing for 30 years and now that I'm older the game is getting more difficult. Not because of the yardage but rather consistency of strikes. I believe that most people just get to a certain level and can't get better irrespective of practice or lessons. Its just a lack of athleticism, body pains or whatever else. If you like the golfing experience then the best advice I can give anyone is have realistic expectations of what you're capable of. Otherwise you'll get frustrated and walk away.

when you finish your shot and you end up asking why did it go that way... Could you see how your pelvis is aligned with where the ball landed? More than likely you were not aiming for the green. The course was designed to deceive you. Much like when one throws a wadded-up paper for the trash basket and misses, leave the arm extended and see if it aligns with the basket or where the wadded paper landed Not right or wrong just information do with it as you wish only meant to help you are becoming a really good player.

You are making the most fundamental of all golf mistakes I see on the course. Expecting to hit the perfect shot every time. Golfers need to accept their real ability and play the shots accordingly. I do not understand why handicap golfers focus on scoring to par on every hole. The handicap system means that you can calculate your own par score on every hole and play accordingly, probably enjoying the game more and not having to struggle keeping up the mood over the entire round. Comparing one self to the best golfers in the world and their abilities is just a wrong approach to the game. And i understand that the emphasis on scoring we are presented with on TV and all over the Internet can mess with your minds. But be real and accept what you can actually do on the course.
