The only thing that’s ever really bugged me with AFL games is that they all use the same generic siren for all the stadiums instead of using all the actual stadium sirens but it’s a small nitpick and I still enjoy playing

BigAnt are notorious for releasing broken and unfinished games. They took months to “fix” Cricket22 and it still a buggy mess over a year later
I was kinda hoping they’d add WAFL in and some of the WAFL stadiums like (Freo Oval)
I definitely agree, the afl made a Instagram post about the game and all i could see was people saying “the graphics are terrible” or “dust off the ps2 guys”. Glad u pointed this out!
its made by a small developer in melbourne. AFL is only know in Australia and mostly in Victoria .People need to understand that.
EA isnt gonna spend millions on a game for a very very very small audience

If Big Ant are making it then will most likely suck the AI are like robots and their is no nostalgia to the game.
Their AI for Live 1 was the best we have ever seen in any AFL game. They have used the old AI as a starting point and improved on it, with input from AFL listed Assistant coaches.
I'm from Canada & fell in love with AFL. Australian Rules Football is the most under rated sport internationally. This game deserves more recognition world wide. I will enjoy AFL 23.

When comparing this game I don’t understand people comparing it FIFA or 2K, if anything you have to compare it to Cricket22 or AFL Evo 2. Let’s be honest can’t be worse than Evo2 which was worse than Big Ants last AFL Live game)

Geez I hope there is no Ultimate Team nonsense. FIFA and Madden were both awesome games until Ultimate Team was introduced to them ... then it became all about the micro transaction side of the games and game play became an after thought. Hate to see an aussie rules game suffer the same fate.
But it made the game makers a bulk cash, which got put back into the game look at the evolution of those games since compared too.
@@brendanking4079 the money got put into more UT options and bling ... gameplay went backwards. All creativity and improvement was directed into the cash machine at the expense of the actual game.

I'll wait a bit to see reviews before i buy it.. Big ant continuously releases unfinished or buggy games with terrible unrealistic animations. They've been responsible for the recent cricket games, which have been ps2 level quality games, yet they charge as much or more as a top teir developer.. at some stage, the continual support from gamers buying their rubbish with the promise of 'the next one will be better if we support the local developer now' has to actually come true.. been fooled too many times, unfortunately

Just a guess but I'll be extremely surprised if you can do that in this game. This is a small game by a small studio so non-essential features like that are very unlikely to be included.

I compared graphics to the last afl game and the graphics suck. Minimal improvement looks like a 10 year old game
I'm sorry but every AFL game since 2004 is garbage! This game looks great but gameplay will suck again. There's no strategy or direction, just throw it on the boot and hope for the best

@@davidagiel8130 I know it's old and about as retro as it gets but I feel the gameplay still holds up well. It's simple and to be honest I still have fun playing it. I just haven't enjoyed any AFL game since around 2004 sadly
