Melee Roy is a bad design, but when they made him, I don’t think they intended him to be bad. I think they just rushed and slapped terrible hitboxes on him. Whereas Pichu was meant to be bad, because he is just a baby Pokemon after all.
SolidBren Marth was made with amazing options, he's floaty with good combo potential while the guy making Roy was like, "lemme just slap some hitboxes so badly made they resemble gang signs with a little bit of end lag."
I think a lot of people have never seen melee kirby. You can escape throws, basically no type of ariel combat, and he went from one of the best in 64 to the worst in melee.

Melee Roy is a bad design, but when they made him, I don’t think they intended him to be bad. I think they just rushed and slapped terrible hitboxes on him. Whereas Pichu was meant to be bad, because he is just a baby Pokemon after all.
SolidBren Marth was made with amazing options, he's floaty with good combo potential while the guy making Roy was like, "lemme just slap some hitboxes so badly made they resemble gang signs with a little bit of end lag."

I think a lot of people have never seen melee kirby. You can escape throws, basically no type of ariel combat, and he went from one of the best in 64 to the worst in melee.
