  • The 2017 Porsche Macan Turbo was the most expensive in the segment back in 2017 with some costing over $100,000 but now just 6 years later it's depreciated into the $30k range, making this 400 hp SUV a very tempting option. Are you tempted by these? Huge thanks to Harrison Auto Sales for providing this vehicle to review! It's currently for sale and more info can be found on it here: www.harrisonautos.com/details...

It's mostly been maintenance but the biggest repair that I've done was a coolant line that runs front to the firewall burst, Coolant reservoir lost hold at the seam and needed to be replaced, and 2 other coolant lines that brach from the aforementioned reservoir got brittle and broke off when replacing the reservoir. Nothing so far has broke that I couldn't fix in a garage with a buddy in a couple of hours.

Like most cars, they will depreciate, but especially luxury cars, they will depreciate a lot, so you can get one of these used for a pretty good bargain, and some will have more options than others, but if you want a nice luxury car, then why not buy it used? Although with German cars, there's always the maintenance issue, so warranty is preferred.

This Macan still looks fresh for being a 6 year old car same with the interior ❤️❤️👏👏 although being a used German car it’ll be kinda expensive to maintain and PLEASE GET A WARRANTY. It’ll be a bad idea to not do that for any car let alone a German car. Also I thought that same thing regarding all those buttons. Yes, there is a lot of buttons down by the shifter, but honestly, I love physical buttons, so I can get used to that, and the fact that it has physical buttons and less screens is a good thing. I don't like massive screens in cars, like what you see these days, I want physical buttons that'll help me do what I need on a basic infotainment screen like this one. Also that 3.6L twin turbo V6 with Porsche's 7-speed PDK dual clutch transmission is phenomenal. You can't expect less from a Porsche PDK transmission, that thing shifts lightning quick.

The previous owner gave this car up for a reason .. Eventually the new owner will find out what the problem was but unlike the seller the buyer and new owner is left holding a 5k , 10k. Even 20k repair bill..
It's always best to never buy a sport or luxury car unless you have the money to burn to fix it when it breaks ..
Most of these very expensive used BMWs and Mercedes out there are super affordable only bc the needed repairs and cost of those repairs are higher then what you paid for the car.

Wow, expert advice there. People give up cars for a multitude of reasons; age, mileage, downsizing, marriage, divorce, lease-end, moving, having kids, inheritance, new opportunity, new job. High maintenance costs come from the Labor Rate charged by the repair facility. Porsche dealers, depending on location, can charge over $500/hr, where Honda will charge $150/hr. So a 4 hour brake job will cost $1400 more at Porsche, but changing the brakes on both cars is an almost identical procedure. Yes, the parts are more expensive on the Porsche, but that stopping power is worth every penny. BTW, I’m trading in my Honda Accord because it needs tires and it’s the most boring car I’ve ever owned.
