James Cameron had balls of titanium to go that deep. Man he's a living legend hats off james Cameron sir 🙏
PFFFFFFFTBWUHAHAHAHA.
TRY "DEPLETED URANIUM TESTICLES"
Lol
Makes titanium density look like cardboard....

I've been growing weed for 20 years I'm usually the one throwing them
Hollywood pools aren’t as deep as this makes them look
Rewatched this after the Titan situation.. this video hits different..
Hate to make comparisons but you can clearly see the quality of equipment, safety procedures and scientific intrigue compared to greed and ego trips, and it's so sad
Way more advanced and well projected
And this was 8 years ago
Ur not the only one lol
It's so tragic, but agreed. Saw their story with cbs, the invited journalist sounded stunned by the game controller, but the CEO almost had a sense of pride that they were using less sophisticated tools.
Almost like a mindset of "they said it couldn't be done but we're doing it", seems like a terrible way to approach such a dangerous field. This sub seemed far safer- even it's size for one person in comparison to 5
Like walking on the moon. RIP to those 5 souls. I agree with you, the technology is far more advanced and reassuring then the Titan.
You gotta admire this guts this man has to do this solo.
To think it was just one brave man, out there in the eternal, cold darkness, who reached it and never lost faith.
He wasn’t the first
@@isrulius I know Picard and Walsh came there, but to be honest, was anyone else there when Cameron went? No, didn't think so.
Imagine : He met Megladon
Cameron's a douche.
@@murderc27 I don't like him either, but have you been to the Mariana Trench? Yep, didn't think so.
I love James Cameron's work beyond the movies. The scientist within him is fascinating. He can vision the ocean through an entirely different prism.
You're so right!
Yah it’s great that Hollywood is a side gig for him
@@jenkins5265 lol but yeah he's so cool
i would like to be good at somting too but im good for nothing even when im trying
He's a real mad bastard for attempting this stuff and I honestly respect the hell out of him for it. Real "money where your mouth is" kind of situation and he pays up every time.
He dived by himself? I thought he dived with a team!! That’s absolutely amazing!!!! Applause!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He is the first person to EVER solo dive that point, actually.
How did he even resurface due to the weight of his gargantuan balls
@@chamsaboumehdi4193how did u know
@gabrielr2644 there's a whole documentary about it
Who was recording the sub from outside? Were there remotely operated cameras sent down too?
Watching this is one of the most spectacular educational experiences I have ever had. I have learned that there is nothing at the bottom of the Mariana trench.
I know I’m late, but I’m pretty sure you’ve should’ve known as they’ve should have already taught you in the 2nd-4th grade.
Disappointing, I was expecting Some huge underwater dragons with night vision but your right it wouldn’t have anything to feast on…. ;(
Went to school in France, I am 22 and this is the first Time I hear about the Marianna Trench.
I wonder why? Lol…
@@nuclearfetusdismemberment9227 ya don’t say huh wonder why 😂😂😂
When that sub dropped them weights and powered back up there was so much emotions. I'm glad he fulfilled his dreams safety 🙏🏼
oh so they were weights , thanks i was thinking that the thing was dropped as a record that cameron went down there
I always thought he was just a rich guy wanting to be important going down there but after I watched the documentary about how The Abyss was shot I have found a deep respect for him. It's great to see how he could fulfill his dream.
Yo
Credit where it's due, the man puts his money where his mouth is and his life on the line to do some real crazy shit like this.
James Cameron has guts, to dive that deep in that small sub by himself, scary!
Yes
Yeah exactly imagine diving that deep by yourself and you start to see the scariest creatures ever? You would start to panic and your by yourself around these creatures
Yo

Because everything is CGI. No deepsea exploration was made. He is James Cameron and he is known to do realistic CGI just like avatar. Think about that! 😝😝
This man dive into the deep ocean like he's playing arcade games.
Can I say I don't believe a film director would actually do that?
this guy still keeping his pacman streak
😂
He was actually the 4th person to reach the bottom
Each time he’s playing with his life more and more. If anything goes wrong you have to accept your gonna die, I’d need a gun down there so I don’t have to suffer.
I love that James Cameron is getting more respect and recognition now. It's sad what happened to the Titan but it shows that you can have money to fulfil your dreams like he does, but It's important to have good judgment and good preparation for something so crazy. He has an expensive hobby but he's done his research and he has the knowledge to try those things while minimizing risk. (Even though there is still a great amount of risk)
This is the reason why I am big fan of James Cameron
Steve your sense of music is simply f....d up that's how most nicely I could say
Mission impossible would have been a better choice.

Yes it is. In fact, suffice to say, the vast majority of the music that these village-idiots pick out for videos, flat out suck. Ergo, ruin otherwise excellent videos.
His name is James, James Cameron
The bravest pioneer
No budget too steep, no sea too deep
Who's that?
It's him, James Cameron
James, James Cameron explorer of the sea
With a dying thirst to be the first
Could it be? Yeah that's him!
James Cameron
Ok
Arise sir James Cameron
James Cameron is wealthy, he is not brave.
Let me see him pick up a weapon and go fight ISIS in Afghanistan or Syria. THEN I will call him brave.
YES 😂❤️
Systems are normal! You guys hearing the song OK up there?
3 times deeper than the shipwreck of titanic, the preassure is so high, James Cameron is so genius in that field
I love the fact that these videos of James Cameron is popping up in my feed. You can see that he and his team wasted no effort into making sure their sub is well engineered and spent years themselves to research.
obviously no one can ever be 100% happy from when they are born to when they die, but I wonder who said that money doesn't bring happiness…. this man is the picture of happiness and I would be happy to be able to live such a beautiful life full of adventures
It depens on the use you make of money. The Three passengers of the Titan by the Oceansgate made a very bad use of their richness and lost their lives. If they had no Money , they would be still alive.
@@antinorum9820 of course I agree with you. obviously in my comment I assumed the correct use of money. not like the owner of the Titan or like those rich people who use the money for drugs etc
This is the reason,
why he is the best director in the world❤
This song destroyed the video.
true
+Djtwice2001 you mean like a highly abnormal sharklike fish destroyed Esteban?
Very true
Yup, it really fucking did.
Null Null lol true but it made me laugh the whole video cause of the dumb Indian song
Props to the cameraman for once again giving us amazing footage of the outside of the sub at 15k ft deep! Always a Legend!
The cameraman was a fish actually
It’s true I was the camera
i bet that was amazing. being in there and hitting the floor. like history brother
First I dont believe that there is human being have such a giant guts to dive that depth. And he is the only James Cameron, the director of Titanic movie. Salute sir.
he's not the only one ,people have went there before
Hes a director he is good at making things look real
@@joshuab8321 Yeah but only 3 people have dived that deep. So mad respect for him!
Maybe you should try to search for his movie, The Abyss
Why it has to be a film director?? Why not a marine, a scientist or whatever, why it has to be James Cameron, a film maker?
I'm glad that people were so inspired by deep sea travel that they found these videos again. There's still so much down there that we don't know about and watching this video is almost like watching a moon landing. It's clear that this expedition was for science instead of some ego-driven moneymaker. Look at how incredible all the footage is. Keep in mind this is at 15,000 pounds per square inch! That is enough to turn an air bubble into a grenade!
In the beginning of the video at 0:05 we can see the small pressurised sphere compared to the rest of the sub. A superb and secure machine that exposes how cheap and flawed was the Titan submersible. The Alvin submersile is also a piece of ever evolving hardware that has completed more than 5000 deep dive missions since its creation in late 60's. A well understood and secure industry that will suffer from those big mistakes.
Titan design is okay for 1 trip only
James Cameron's exploration of the ocean is like what NASA or Elon Musk are doing for Space. Pushing the Limits. Very cool to watch.
Yep, Elon musk is the same as NASA. He went to the moon before Niel Armstrong himself. Elon musk is indeed "doing" something for space - with government money.
it’s actually much harder. Oceans are one of THEE most complex places to go too. People go to space and more have been to space than the bottom of our oceans.
space is fake btw
Comparing James Cameron to Musk is blasphemous lol. Musk is just a giant manchild with too much money.
@@gohlukehow old are you ?
He brought light to a place devoid of any.
Look at the quality of submersible and its equipment. 🤘🏻
He literally set the James Cameroon milestone down there !

Bro knows what hes doing when it comes to his passions in life & has actual common sense unlike most ppl including u reading this , he knows the risks but hes also relaxed because hes not just some guy that's getting paid to do this , hes literally paying to do this because its always been his dream so his chances of dying is slimmer than any person that actually is only doing it for money or because they got no choice
I can just imagine the nervousness and excitement he had at that moment.
You could see it in his face how much fun & amazement he was having. Just incredible. Good for you James Cameron.

Good job on raising the bar!
Epoustouflant.

There’s something about this guy which fascinates the world. It all started with titanic 97.
No, it all started with the Terminator.
Il avait déjà marqué le monde 13 ans auparavant avec "The Terminator" bien sûr, mais aussi avec "Aliens" et "Abyss" dans la foulée. "Titanic" est plutôt une consécration, dira-t-on.

This little pod sub is 1000x more advanced, has better engineering, and is much more heavily designed/productive compared to Titan. Wow.
At this point the man may be a bigger legend in the Ocean than behind a camera.
So big balls James Cameron gets to the bottom of the Mariana Trench only to discover that it's completely empty, not even a empty coca-cola can.
So he pulls out his console and plays video games, coool!!
