I met her in Vought Park a few years ago. She was so kind to me. I remember she gifted me a little monkey plush toy and some kind of weapon she used in the past... a chain made of iron balls. When I was a kid I was convinced her powers were that she was like, The Deep but with monkeys instead of fish, I know it sounds stupid but my family didn't watch a lot of Vought so I had no idea. Learning that she actually used energy blasts taught me that you don't have to be invested in something to fight for a cause, and she's been a huge inspiration ever since. You go CC!

Her group was called "Payback" and they were active in the 80s which was before I was born, and my family (like me) just isn't a fan of the conservative-leaning news programs and military propaganda that Vought is associated with, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy some of their less morally ambiguous supe media - like I'm all caught up with the VCU, and I'm a die hard fan of anything Seth Rogen makes.
Recently heard a friend of hers, gunpowder was killed by some supe terrorist. That's the problem with this country, to many terrorists. Hopefully she's staying safe.

Seriously, this has to be one of the best fiction worlds ever created. How they took so much dedication and enthusiasm on creating this side story lore? And despite the silly dance of the Countess, her dummy dress and the facts you get to know about her from the series... this is a really good and heartwarming song about chimps. She even drops some facts (like mentioning that the Sahara was a forest before becoming a dessert and that it used to be inhabited by apes).
Speaking about Countess, I really felt bad for her in the series. Yes, I know she may be nasty and that the funding of her chimp sanctuary rellied on her prostituting her image for pervs, but you have to admit that she was one of the only supes (in the series, not in the comic books) that really wanted to do something good and forget about her tragic past with Soldier Boy. Props on her for that! May Countess rest in peace!

My parents grew up with the love story of Soldier Boy and Crimson Countess. When my father returned from the war, I still remember my mother dressed up as the Crimson Countess to surprise him and dressed me up as Gunpowder. It was such a happy day.
Today, my wife and I are continuing the tradition. We are dressing up as Homelander and Starlight for our son's graduation and we bought him a Black Noir costume.
I’m glad to see another hero getting into wildlife conservation. The Deep hasn’t done anything since before he joined the CoTC. Gonna have to go down to Voughtland someday soon, show my appreciation in person. Hope she’s still performing!

My wife and I took our newly adopted daughter to Queen Maeve’s Inclusive Kingdom recently and caught Crimson Countess’ show. Her voice was so beautiful and ringing with love for Soldier Boy that I paid for the Countess Teatime. She saw my daughter’s little chimpanzee toy and was ecstatic to show her this song and tell her monkey facts. It was so lovely, I can’t wait to take my daughter to Crimson Countess’ Chimp Country. It’s going to be so lit!
