Lieber Michi. Genau vor diesen Dingen, habe ich mich immer gedrückt. Aber ich merke an meinem Spiel dadurch auch eine " Beschränktheit", die mich stark begrenzt.
Jetzt habe ich dennoch die " Fährte aufgenommen ", und werde mich mit meinen 55 Jahren noch dadurch " tanken."

I think the hardest part of this lesson is not that I'm trying to hear triplets against eighth notes, is that I'm trying to hear 3/16 against 1/4.

A long time ago, I watched a YT video about an independence exercise which was pretty hard at the beginning and helped quite a bit.
It's very simple.
Start out playing quarternotes with all limbs in unison for 1 measure.
Then, for the next measure, do eight notes with the right hand, while maintaining the quarternotes on the other 3 limbs.
After that, switch to the left hand, then the right foot, and finally the left foot.
You can extend this exercise to include triplets, quintuplets, or any subdivision.
You could also do this with 2 groups of limbs against eachother.

Independence must be one of the hardest things to master as a drummer. I'm just a bass player, but with the limited time I've spent on the drums, my limbs have been VERY DEpendent.

Tolles Video (wie übrigens alle Deine Beiträge!). Darf ich zwei Fragen stellen?
1. Wie geht man es am Besten an, alles zu kombinieren? Ich habe keine Problem, rechte Hand und rechten Fuß, oder rechte Hand und linken Fuß zusammen zu spielen. Aber ich scheitere daran, alles zusammen zu spielen. Soll ich es seeeehr langsam machen? Aber wenn ich das tue, besteht dann nicht die Gefahr, doch wieder nur Muster auswendig zu lernen?
2. Wo bekommt man solche Unabhängigkeitsübungen her? Hast Du da eine Buchempfehlung?
