The most difficult part of this groove is keeping the high-hat chicks consistent when going over to the ride and / or toms.
aha. that's why my drum mentor even has a term of "one leg drummers". many beginners do not play left foot at all!
I forced myself a lot to get used to have nice tempo in left foot. At least quarters. Now try to have 8th pulse in left 🦶
