Jennifer, thanks for this very informative tutorial. I'm new to stamping and paper crafts. I'm 65 and feel this is MY time of my life. I'll be watching your videos frequently as they are clear and concise. Again, thanks.
I just found this video, & I'm thrilled. I've been stamping & embossing for over 35 years. They didn't even have embossing guns then. You had to use a light bulb, coffee warmer or the heat from an electric stove burner. I feel I know a lot more about the ink differences then ever. I avoided some inks because I was unsure of their properties. Thank you.
When y heat gun broke I dismantled my hair straighteners lol þ use as a heat gun,n hated it,so what u described doing must of been a nightmare ,bet ur one happy crafter now x
I loved your video. It is very informative and well explained. I was very confused between pigment and dye inks, but after watching this video I am no longer confused. Thank you
Thanks Jennifer, I have needed help with inks for a while - my stamping has not been very good and now I know one reason why is I am using pigment inks and I did not understand the drying time difference. Am loving your videos - costing my husband a fortune lol. x Thanks again, you are a gem!
was searching for an answer to using pigment inks and heat embossing rather than only using a sticky ink. I knew I'd find the answer in your posts! Thanks!
Oh Jennifer, thank you so much for such an informative video. For a very long time I have wondered about all the different types of inks and why some people use this or that, never known why the market has dye and pigment inks, just thought it was all same by different companies.....Thank you so much for sharing all this wonderful information. Next time I'm in a store and I see the shelves and shelves of inks I now have the knowledge to know WHAT I REALLY WANT ! Love you so much Sue (from Australia)
Wow, Jennifer, this was a terrific video. I've been stamping for a long time and I learned something new. I appreciated your giving us tips on the different brands. There are so many out there. This was a Big help for me. Thank you so much!
great video, very informative. "I have been wanting to learn the differences of the inks, so glad I found your videos. You really do a great job of explaining all of the info. Thanks for the video teacher
Jennifer this was so helpful! I had previously watched these videos but I must have missed this one so I am glad you re-linked it. I wanted to know how you get so much of the white and clear Hero Arts embossing powder? I have only found one link that sells it in bulk, and it definitely isn't Hero Arts, otherwise I spend a bunch of money on the little jars.
Love, love, love this video. There was soooo much information on inks that I have wanted to learn. Do you have a chart or written document that could be used as a reference tool that holds all the information you said on this video. TFS this and all you do. I love your voice and check for your videos often. Thanks, donn
Thank you for all of your videos. They have really been a blessing to me. I would like to know if you buy your clear embossing powder in bulk somewhere? Thanks again!
Wonderful video presentation. You make it easy to learn. Question: sometimes the ink pads will say "dye" or "pigment". Sometimes they don't. Other than researching each one is there another way to find out simply by looking at the container? Thanks again!
Thanks for making these videos. THey're so helpful and fun. Can you heat emboss with powder by aiming the heat gun on the back of the page? I don't have a good heat gun, so I'm worried it'll blast the powder everywhere if I do it as you did it in the video.
Hi Jennifer, I love watching your videos, they are so helpful. I am wondering why the Hero arts Silver Shadow Ink smudeges on the Neenah paper, is that normal? Thank you so much for your help.
Jennifer, these videos have been so, so helpful. Thank you so much. I have a question: Do you know what is the difference between the Hero Arts dye ink pad BLACK AF101 and the Hero Arts dye ink pad INDIA INK BLACK AF248? Both are dye inks, but is one darker than the other?
I am a big fan of you. Thanks for these great videos. I have a question, I am trying to find Hero Arts ink refills, but I am not able to, do you know where I and buy those? Thanks a lot.
this may be a dumb question but how does the mixed leftovers turn out when embossed? will you have each individual come through and show individually or do they melt together and make new colors? i would be afraid of making muddy brown hues.
What do you recommend for gold embossing powder-mine keeps spreading!?? Is it better to stamp with gold ink and use clear emboss powder or stamp with clear versamark and use gold powder? AND does it matter what kind of paper you use? Thank you sooo much, frustrated in fesno...
Cory Scalone doesn't matter what paper. i use versamark with all colored powders including gold. wipe the surface with an anti-static first to prevent if from going everywhere
Is this milwaukee heat gun made by Wagner? The Hero Arts site shows a heat gun but the name on it is Wagner. Is this the heat gun you refer to in your video? I currently have one which I purchased several years ago made by Ranger. Does this mlwaukee brand do a better job?
Can you tell me what the wattage is for the milwaukee heat tool. I have a heat tool but I don't feel it is doing a good job. Since this video is 2 years old, are there any updates for the heating tool? Can I still buy from Hero Arts or from Amazon?
How much does the type/weight of card stock effect the results of the ink? I have never been able to get my Hero Arts ink to dry smooth. It's still blotchy after drying.
I have a question, I looked for the Hero Arts dye ink pad in black that you have in the video, but all that I could find is Hero Arts dye ink pad INDIA INK black .. is that the same pad??
Jennifer, thanks for this very informative tutorial. I'm new to stamping and paper crafts. I'm 65 and feel this is MY time of my life. I'll be watching your videos frequently as they are clear and concise. Again, thanks.
