I've had this on a loop breathing it in. The crisp vocals, the masterful application of effects on the guitar, the keyboard/synth, those drums, and THAT BASS. The whole thing is hitting me on a spiritual level. Almost like a piece of my soul I'd forgotten had been on life support through the last few decades of music, and y'all just pulled it back from the brink. I legitimately needed this, thank you.

I was a Tears for Fears fan back in the day, but the more I hear them now, the more I think, "Damn, I did NOT appreciate these guys enough back then!" They are just phenomenal!
I have been appreciating them since I was a kid glued to MTV watching Pale Shelter. I love all the albums. Finally saw them in 2012 and balled my eyes out. People forget how amazing they as musicians. Checkout the whole set of their 'Going to California' concert. But I got to say 'Elemental' and 'Raoul and the Kings of Spain' are underrated albums. The song 'Goodnight Song' and 'Me and My Big Ideas' with Oleta Adams are true gems.
Everybody loves a happy ending…as a musician I have always been amazed how you can hear everything separately. Who needs lead guitar solos. Curt Smith bass, like Paul Mc gives us the melody, the drums are perfect, the vocals…everything else is just the sprinkles on a cupcake. Nice but extra goodie.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is called raw, unadulterated talent, something that is very difficult to acquire and preserve over time. My congratulations to Tears For Fears!!!!
I'm still reeling from how good this Tears for Fears comeback is. Form is temporary and class is permanent. Not just this lush single, the whole album is brilliant. Both guys are writing and performing at a level you just don't normally expect of pop artists over the age of 60. Might be my favourite thing they've ever done. It's an absolute stunner of a record.
Absolutely agree. Brilliant album from start to finish. Straight into my “every home should have one” selection. Always loved them and as you say, class is permanent. Several of the tracks bring me to tears. Right up there with their best work.
Ladies and Gentlemen, can we appreciate for a moment that, unlike many other musicians, Curt and Roland are still good friends and making great music? I'm so happy for that. Btw: amazing bass line here.

@@rumblefish9 That would have been amazing! I saw her with them in 2017 and was disappointed they didn't bring in for Woman in Chains or Badman's Song, she could totally pull it off.
@@GlennTillema They played 'Year of the Knife' when I saw them and she sang back up but my god Roland could still belt out the highs and lows of that song really really well! Roland also sang Billie Jean.
