Me too! When he calls Mary’s name, from episode 1, instant tears! Touched my heart so deeply. I love seeing the disciples, how they interact with each other, with Jesus, and just how they traveled following Jesus. Most of all, how different each disciple is! When I watch the Chosen and see Jesus, I think they did an awesome job casting Jonathan. I have no problems praying to Christ because I don't try to see his face when I talk to him. Jesus was noted to have a common face, but the actor does portray him beautifully through the looks in his eyes, which are filled with so much compassion and love. That part of the actors face I relate to Jesus. Well done brother.

Tbh I have never seen Jonathan each time I watch The Chosen. I have always seen The Son of God. Each time I watch I wish to see more of his scenes though I know the show is not all about Christ alone but it so up and personal watching him, it is so like the One who saved me (Jesus), I was never there but I can feel it through my everyday walk with Him. And you call tell that his performance is so full of The Holly Spirit
I too love the refreshingly off-guard humor and wit as well as relatable human emotion that is portrayed in Christ here. A couple of moments that come to mind is when he wakes up in the morning to see the returning curious little girl standing over him, sun in his eyes and says, "You couldn't give me 30 more minutes eh?" LOL.. Or when he puts on a big cloak and says, "Not too shabby." Am really enjoying this.
I find it reassuring to see how different you are out of character! I have no wish to add to your problems, and actually we have to recognise the part script writers, directors and advisors play anyway; but you have been enabled to play the best depiction of our Lord I have ever seen. I am 74, been a Christian 50+ years and remember how wooden the earlier attempts to show the Gospels were. Accurate in their dialogue, but unable to communicate the humanity of characters and Jesus Himself. This is why I am so blessed by "The Chosen." Having lived in Israel I love the accents, the sets and the humanity of God in the flesh. Thank you Jonathan. May the Lord keep your feet on the ground and on the path as a disciple!

Seeing all the characters of the bible being portrayed as relatable humans really impacts scripture reading, biblical conversations, and gives a refreshing motivation to read the bible with fresh eyes. Supporting The Chosen during this time and watching how it has been able to spread into every country of the world is SO amazing. It makes you feel as though you are a (miniscule) part of something God is doing worldwide. To know that lives are being re-dedicated and touched is super exciting. It's also exciting that EVERYONE can have a part in supporting and spreading this amazing project.
I cry a lot when watching this series it has been the best tears That ever came from my eyes…to feel the Love and emotions within your heart …💕 sometimes I rewatch it again and still feel it all over again. What I love about The Chosen Jesus is how human you make him. When I watched the dialogue between you and nicodemus in the church’s Easter service 2015 it was just rehearsed lines - but this show is as if we are in the room with you two. In Philippians when telling of the incarnation it says Jesus emptied himself in order to take on being human. I've heard Jonathan talk about emptying himself in order to allow God's Spirit to guide him in his portrayal of Jesus on The Chosen. I love your portrayal of our Lord, Jonathan. Like he said there have been movies that don’t touch everything the right way. The Chosen does. This show made we grow closer to Jesus because I could relate to him more. And Jonathan’s acting in this show (as well as the others) are amazing! I love Jesus’ humor, I always die laughing because it’s a love humor and not rude humor. Jonathan totally gets it... Jesus of Nazareth was my favorite because it captured the importance of his message and empathy... This takes it to another level and makes you appreciate Jesus and his disciples even more. I especially love their interpretation of Matthew. I love the care of the message and when it comes to moments with the scriptures they don’t over exaggerate it... it makes for a powerful testimony! It takes patience to set up the scenes and moments like this .. and the fruitage shows in the spirit of the characters and unique humility that Jesus had even though he was Gods son and used to be Gods word and right hand. The humor is very very tasteful and makes you love the characters even more.

This series helps me and my family fall in love with the Holy Scriptures and Jesus more deeply. I can enter contemplation of Jesus more easily during the Holy Mass and the prayer of the Holy Rosary with the help of these beautiful episodes.

I would love to hear the creative/writing team discuss the development of scenes and characters. Because when I watch the interpretation I feel it's perfect - it's right on the mark!
Seeing all the characters of the bible being portrayed as relatable humans really impacts scripture reading, biblical conversations, and gives a refreshing motivation to read the bible with fresh eyes.
Supporting The Chosen during this time and watching how it has been able to spread into every country of the world is SO amazing. It makes you feel as though you are a (miniscule) part of something God is doing worldwide. To know that lives are being re-dedicated and touched is super exciting. It's also exciting that EVERYONE can have a part in supporting and spreading this amazing project.

I cry a lot when watching this series it has been the best tears That ever came from my eyes…to feel the Love and emotions within your heart …💕 sometimes I rewatch it again and still feel it all over again. What I love about The Chosen Jesus is how human you make him. When I watched the dialogue between you and nicodemus in the church’s Easter service 2015 it was just rehearsed lines - but this show is as if we are in the room with you two. You have brought the Bible to life it’s just not words. I KNOW Dallas is correct the Holy Spirit has this!! Thank you

In Philippians when telling of the incarnation it says Jesus emptied himself in order to take on being human. I've heard Jonathan talk about emptying himself in order to allow God's Spirit to guide him in his portrayal of Jesus on The Chosen. I love your portrayal of our Lord, Jonathan. Thank you for all you've been through and trained for in order to so beautifully portray Jesus.

One of the things I most love about the show is the simplicity. I am so tired of fearmongers and unnecessary things that vex my soul. When I watch this I feel at peace, and remember just because you have more money don't make it complicated, Keep it simple as you have been doing for that is truly what everyone is seeking right now just the purity and simplicity of the Love and understanding of Christ that you and all your fellow actors and Dallas bring to the show, thank you God-bless you all!

It’s in his eyes! The tenderness, the true understanding, the openness in those eyes is profound. And the way he really listens to the questions, and the depth and sincerity of his answers is inspiring. I truly think he was ordained to play Jesus.

Like he said there have been movies that don’t touch everything the right way. The Chosen does. This show made we grow closer to Jesus because I could relate to him more. And Jonathan’s acting in this show (as well as the others) are amazing! I love Jesus’ humor, I always die laughing because it’s a love humor and not rude humor. I don’t know how to explain it but I know that God is at work in this show! Great job to everyone!
Jonathan totally gets it... Jesus of Nazareth was my favorite because it captured the importance of his message and empathy... This takes it to another level and makes you appreciate Jesus and his disciples even more. I especially love their interpretation of Matthew. I love the care of the message and when it comes to moments with the scriptures they don’t over exaggerate it... it makes for a powerful testimony! It takes patience to set up the scenes and moments like this .. and the fruitage shows in the spirit of the characters and unique humility that Jesus had even though he was Gods son and used to be Gods word and right hand. The humor is very very tasteful and makes you love the characters even more.
