- Pangot and Sattal which are located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Beautiful and biodiversity-rich forests of Nainital district. In Pangot and Sattal have some beautiful patches of forests which are attracting many bird watchers. More than 200 birds species have been recorded in this area. The main attractions of Pangot are Cheer Pheasant, Koklass Pheasant and Kalij Pheasant. Many Himalayan species were attracting birdwatcher; you can see Himalayan Vulture, Griffon Vulture, Himalayan Pied Woodpecker, Himalayan/Slaty-headed Parakeet.
Conservation Education centre conducted field camp at Pangot and Sattal, Uttarakhand between 25 - 28 April 2019 for Ornithology and Leadership and Biodiversity courses participants with the guide Mr. Hari Om and BNHS experts, Mr. Nandkishor Dudhe and Mr. Omkar Joshi. The camp focused on the avian fauna of the region. During this four days trip have recorded 165 species. Time spent in the area was one of the most memorable times with observing some of the most beautiful birds.

Great job.
Love to nature is love to God.
It is useful to visit only if you have patience and time to watch.Other wise it a regular village nothing else and roads are very small . Winters are not the best time to visit .
April and May will be the best time for birdwatching, also take help from a local guide.
