    Ah wow it's really great to know you're expanding upon your channel as well as continually refining your system. It's also good to hear you're delegating the work load. Seems like you're glowing (figuratively and, evidently, literally) with health because of it 🌿
    Can't wait to see what you bring in 2022, and I'm soooo going to dive into your second edition of the book as soon as you release it.

    All wonderful news! And yes, I agree with the comments that you’re looking sharp and healthy;)
    How great to see so many sincerely positive and supportive comments! I tapped thumbs up to each of them all as a means of support and applause:)
    Ummm… while that is all very true, I am feeling motivated by your humble and passionate speech to applaud you sincerely, but, to do so, I need to let you know that I am in the realm of a colleague. I am a clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist, researcher, author, professor, and test development specialist. I shared this about myself only to let you know that I surely understand what hard work it takes to accomplish what you have! Bravo!! You’re a trail blazer with a tremendous mix of positive qualities, including high intelligence, creativity, perseverance, self-insight, determination, compassion, humor, and courage! Your desire to help others is evident in your extremely thoughtful videos (and I’m not being hyperbolic). I think you also deserve credit for putting yourself out there on youtube-especially as an introverted, science-minded person-am I wrong? Regardless, it’s just one more hat you manage to wear in your pursuit of furthering your goals, and that’s commendable. It’s also amazing to see the growth of your personal and interpersonal style over time, and your audience loves it, as do I ofc;)
    So, as I said, your speech moved me to shed a layer of anonymity in an effort to provide you with a deeper level of congratulatory support for your accomplishments, as well as provide you my sincere encouragement that you continue to grow Cognitive Personality Theory. It has great potential to change pre-existing theories within the field of personality psychology, cognition, and assessment. Keep up the great work!!

      @@CognitivePersonality you are very welcome! I can appreciate how much work and turmoil this type of self-development can be and how proud one is of its results. However, because it is foremost internal work, many people don't see and understand the extend of the work so it's extra special when it is recognised. How fortunate that on this channel people are sensitive to "internal matters"... ;)

    I'd totally join your discord if you made one.

    Anyways, I notice you place Feeling as subjective and Thinking as objective in the description - why is that?

    Congratulations! Look forward to the book and interested in the course, will be on the look out for those. You have been vital in helping me understand myself and those around me better. It is so useful for just about every aspect of our lives. I would love to see more people take interest in this topic. I think it would spur personal growth and healing; mitigate interpersonal issues and strengthen relationships; help teams and workplace environments flourish, increase productivity, and employee satisfaction; even crack puzzles for law enforcement and litigators. Simply understanding how each person uniquely perceives and responds to the world around them is an under-appreciated exploration that everyone can benefit from ... not that it is simple at all :) Yay, super excited for you and to see your work.

    Hi, what are your thoughts that most modern professionals in psychology are rejecting the MBTI and are now instead favouring the Big Five personality test as a more relevant assessment of personality traits?

    • @CognitivePersonality
      @CognitivePersonality  2 роки тому +1

      The Big Five are good psychometric data, particularly in self-report terms, and they are fluid and non-prescriptive too.
      MBTI - and even CPT - is a totally different beast and ill suited to information gathering. People will tend to test differently at different stages of their life and type is only really feasible to test for on a close individual level, as opposed to the BF which can gather tonnes of reliable but more superficial, more trait-based information without losing validity.
      Totally different models so this is less of an either/or thing. Big 5 scores don't assign a 'type' :)

  • @watheos6730

    what do you think of the finding that the INTJ is the least common type in the world of cognitive functions?

    • @CognitivePersonality
      @CognitivePersonality  2 роки тому +1

      Not sure the latest MBTI statistics reflect this but it does seem to be a relatively rare type. Generally I don't consider large scale findings to be very valuable in this area as the instrument lacks accuracy, but in my own data the type is relatively rare. In terms of people who think they are an INTJ it's a whole other story, hah

    • @watheos6730
      @watheos6730 2 роки тому

      @@CognitivePersonality
      I know a guy who doesn't like MBTI because of the anti-scientific character (he read it in some articles). He also says that cognitive functions are limiting, and that people end up putting themselves in a "personality" that doesn't represent one's full scope. He believes that putting each person into 1 cognitive type is kind of "too systematic". There are other clues that lead me to believe he is INTJ.
      I understand. But that wasn't exactly my question. I meant in the MBTI community. Do you believe in the possibility that they are the least unlikely to believe in the existence of cognitive types?

    • @CognitivePersonality
      @CognitivePersonality  2 роки тому

      @@watheos6730 IXTJs and IXTPs both seem to be more polarised - they seem to be either all in or all out! Other types seem to vary more in regards to how seriously they take the whole thing

    Welcome back! ^^ /Well, you uploaded this video 11 days ago, I guess I'm right on time :D (Sorry for that, I forgot to turn up notifications, now I've changed that)/ Just wanted to thank you for your channel, I'm new viewer and haven't seen all the videos (I'm in progress, going to catch up and watch If not all than most of them), I really love the way you think, sometimes you're having the same thoughs on different topics that I have, and it's fantastic to feel understood. And it would sound probably weird, but also your videos have therapethic effect on me, don't know why, maybe because of combination of your interesting thoughts, calm voice, charisma (yes, I don't agree with those who called you robotic! It makes me angry to see when people write things like that, because you do have charisma! Do not believe them!). I'm also new to cpt and mbti community, before that I was studying socionics for a long time, but these typologies have a lot in common. I always had interest and willing to understand why people think the way they think? What's the difference in our perception? What causing people to act the way they act? and etc. And I'm glad that I found your channel, it gives answers to a lot of questions, and more importantly - raises new quetions and gives information to think. (well this comment is long, sorry for that, I've been wanted to write even more, but erased it XD) To be honest you don't look shy on a camera, I think you look pretty confident, and I love the way you express yourself. Never doubt in yourself, you're the best! :)

    Really looking forward to your content! I have a question that really caught my attention in the last couple of hours: I strongly believe that our behavior is dependent on our cognition. Henceforth cognition is the basis for a lot of our actions. Yet there is one thing missing to close the gap between behavior and cognition: Hormons. Can you treat this topic in the future as well? What happens to the cognitive stack when dopamine or melatonin floods the blood stream? I believe for instance that Fe gets activated when we produce Oxytocin. I would really love to hear your thoughts about this - thanks! And keep up your amazing work!!

  • @anormalguy511
    @anormalguy511 2 роки тому

    I was wondering as an INFJ. Which function do you identify the most with? Like which function in your stack would you want to be your dominant function ideally speaking? Or wish you had that function as your dominant.

      And when it comes to wings, I'm not sure if he is a 5w4 or 5w6, but I will stick with 5w4 for a while...

    • @sugarcravings1797
      @sugarcravings1797 2 роки тому +1

      most likely a 6
      I don't understand a word he says most of the time.
      He reminds me of jordan peterson, INFJ 6 too (common enneagram for them)
      You can look up the description of the six, it's exactly like them:
      "Conservation E6 is the opposite of social E6. This one is warm and ambiguous, tasteless, geeky. It does not come to him to say that this or that is black or white. It takes a lot of courage to say that something is black or white. For him it is better to say: "oh, there are several types of shades of gray between one and another. And I don't really know what kind of gray we are talking about, because life is very complex." And so it can go on endlessly, always beating around the bush. We have a person here who needs a lot of protection. He is afraid of not being protected, a fear that manifests as insecurity. And his characteristic passion is the need for something similar to friendship: a warmth."

    • @CognitivePersonality
      @CognitivePersonality  2 роки тому +1

      I'm working on enneagram theory behind the scenes so I'm sitting on this one, but I'll add that I don't consider myself a 5 (though understand why the channel content may lead people to consider it)!

      An Se dominant with depression (as one example) could still manifest these symptoms but on the whole the types tend to be a bit more consistently grounded
