    So my problem is when I put my belt on my Gokart just wants to takeoff. What should I do to stop that? It feels like my belt is too tight?

      @shewshewNOW  Місяць тому

      @jacobanelly811 it sounds like one of the clutches is stuck in the high speed position. Try rotating one side while holding the other to see if you can get it to spring back and reset

    Hello my problem with mine is that the belt keeps burning up and not going properly it will just scrape until it rips up

    • @shewshewNOW
      @shewshewNOW  6 днів тому

      @user-wm6ff7lu9l make sure the bumpers on your torque converter are not broken and both pulleys move freely in and out. If its stuck in the tight position it will burn up the belts really fast

      @@shewshewNOW offcorse.. my question is how did you even get the belt on the wrong Way i tried it on my 177f (gx270) knock off and it was to tight

    • @shewshewNOW
      @shewshewNOW  27 днів тому +1

      @Thebackgarage133 not really sure why it would be tight. Those belts are directional because one side is made at an angle to mate well with the clutch. If you but the angled side of the belt on the flat side it will wear the belt out prematurely

      It's very easy to put them on the wrong way, the angles are so close that belt manufacturers started putting arrows and "this side towards motor" on the belts.

    How do you tighten the chain? My chain keeps falling

    • @lolstans285
      @lolstans285 4 місяці тому +2

      If you want to make your chain smaller, try removing a few links from it

    • @shewshewNOW
      @shewshewNOW  4 місяці тому

      There is 2 adjustable jack bolts that will raise the motor away from the drive sprocket to tighten the chain. Also DO NOT over tighten the chain, that will lead to excessive wear on brings, chain, and sprockets

      If its the rattle sound at low idle speed like in my video than it's normal for that motor. Listen how it goes away as the rpm's increase

    Hello im currently trying to build a go kart, and i think this is the part i need. Just to be sure, as soon as that engine turns on does it automatically run? Because thats what mine does and i dont want it to, untill i press gas. Is this the part i want? Thanks

    • @shewshewNOW
      @shewshewNOW  10 місяців тому +1

      It should not turn the belt at low RPM. This setup works with centrifical clutch, as the RPM'S go up it comes together and engages the belt.

      @@shewshewNOW *you said it works with a centrifugal clutch, does that mean I have to buy one or is that built in? Sorry I'm a newbie at this, I just wanna know the details lol

    • @shewshewNOW
      @shewshewNOW  10 місяців тому +2

      @lcm_creations the centrifugal clutch is mounted to the motor and the cvt is is on the sprocket side. The clutch(left side in this video) connects to the cvt(right side in this vide) as the clutch spins it will start to engage the belt as the rpms go up. This causes the cvt to speed up and the faster or slower that spins changes its potions basically like an automatic transmission. Watch in the video how as the rpms go up the left clutch tightens up and the right cvt spreads out.
