Everyone is so hung up in the comments about it only adding 30 HP....how bout the fact that it makes over 240 lbs/ft of torque to the tires from basically 2K rpm to 4K rpm? That's your useable powerband when wheeling right there for the most part. I'd say that kind of torque output in that power band is well worth the $3500. You sure as hell aren't getting that from intake and exhaust lol.
Holy moly... How many times do you got to put it into first gear?!?! Hope adding a supercharger don't make it a necessity to hunt for first gear! (9:01 - joking, haha). Looks like a clean install and to all the haters, find me a better hp vs $$ bolt on combo and I bet that list is ALMOST non existent. May not be the 100+ HP we all crave, but the 'ol butt dyno will approve i'm sure!!! Good job guys! Keep the upgrades coming!
QT. These Sprintex supercharger kits are made in Perth, Western Australia dudes ! They're just 3 miles down the road from where I live and are a cool system for the venerable 4.0 Hi-Output In-line Six donk. If guys wanted to install an intercooler, is it possible to fit one to TJ/XJ's ? Vdogg.
Please! Tell me how I can get this same exact product within Canada because this seems perfect for my 2000 2.5L wrangler and could use the extra power for when I get larger tires
Am I the only one cringing sitting at the stop light with the clutch in just working the shifter like your churning butter? Ugg.... Thanks for the info on the kit. I want one.... :)
+30hp??? +64 hp and +66 ft/lb of torque listed on their website. That's a big discrepancy. I would think twice about spending $3500 for 30 hp, when you can probably get that much from intake, programmer, and full exhaust, while only spending about $1500.
pretty sure they were measuring wheel HP... and i'd bet sprintex website was showing brake HP numbers (at the crank). TJ's have quite a bit of power loss thru the driveline. in any event, an intake/exhaust and tuner ain't going to get you anywhere near 30 more wheel HP in a stock TJ.
Afternoon Quadratec team. I am extremely interested in buying this from your website, and may be prepared to buy as soon as next week, but I have a couple questions. How did this supercharger impact fuel consumption? Also, I am looking at installing a different Diablosport tuner for a permanent on dash display (maybe the trinity 2). Can this tuner be utilized for the post supercharger tune? I’d like to avoid purchasing both. Thanks in advance.
I just bought and installed the sprintex very easy install with only a few steps left out in install book but also I with if you going to do a video be more detail for us diy people. For instance how much oil is 157 millimetres in us 5.32 ounces I'm confused ....? In video why you didn't tell viewers you need bend a.c. lines down so supercharger wil fit , and make sure you have all tools needed , this will save u from going nuts and sprintex forgot to include my Turner now waiting on that small complaints but life goes on my 05 lj Rubicon well worth the inconvenience to be different from the jk jeep lover old school and simpler to work on diy
We didn't set out to do a full step by step video of this install. A full step by step of something requiring this much work would be a very long and detailed video to shoot.
3500 for 30hp/50 tq? Not to mention whatever else you need....Sounds super low for the price. Was looking to get a blower but this is now off the table
Cosmetically I'd leave that lovely TJ as it is.
CammieGee agreed

true, off-roading requires more torque than hp, and low end torque at that
That may be true, but it is advertised as adding almost twice that number in hp.
That’s where the hang up is

The pump up gearbox looks interesting, is that something new?

Forget the final HP numbers. Didn't you say a 40% increase in HP? 30HP is just around 20%. Something's not right. Any updates on what happened?
those windsheild wipers are nice looking

Only 30 more HP? I was hoping to see much more than that.
Lon Redmon it’s about the torque man, the torque
HP means NOTHING on a Jeep! Torque is what you drive, especially off road. Please stop worrying about hp numbers....
@@kiefferbailey7037 if a guy wants hp. Then he wants hp
I'm looking for the detailed instructions for the DEI kit you guys mentioned, where's that "video you did earlier"?
ua-cam.com/video/0IEqS0MnUbc/v-deo.html
oh I thought you guys had a walkthrough on the install. Thanks for replying though.
Dammit no longer available!
The motor is choked up.It needs intake and exhaust to make more power...
Stay tuned!

wow you guys made it look so simple, is it really that easy to install?
great video btw! subbed
Would rather have seen a Banks Sidewinder install, but to each there own.
Well, I would have rather seen and LS Swap, but to each their own.
Any issues with P0068 code and cutting out just before 4000 rpm?

what is this nonsense, the standard AMC 242 has 184Hp, with 334Nm(246ft)
At
The
Wheels
155 HP before mods? I thought the 4.0 was 190 stock?
190 at the flywheel, not at the tires.
$3,500 for 30hp. Might as well buy a used 5.7 Hemi.
You're not buying a jeep to go fast I hope
I just learned how to make something reliable, unreliable in 12 minute
Congratulations you spent $4,000 on 30 horsepower
Money spent on torque
I just don't like the fact that you have to tear it apart every 30k miles and replace the belt spark plugs
Christopher Medynski how often do you change your spark plugs?
Wow, this guy talks a lot.
