- FW de Klerk, the former president of South Africa, who died this week at the age of 85 will be remembered by many for his political courage in dismantling apartheid. But he will also be remembered for his earlier support of and belief in racial segregation system. So, how did the last president of apartheid South Africa see his role in changing the destiny of his country?
He really repented, at the end Judgement is for Allah alone.
No, he did not. he died denying that apartheid was a crime against humanity.
@@darlingtonmachilar6745 no he did say it was a crime against humanity. he said that according to international law it did not meet the criteria of a genocide. He was being pedantic on the term used because there are people who are confused that say millions of blacks were murdered by the NP party during that time. Which he pushed back on. during 1948 to 1989 7000 political killings took place which is reprehensible but not akin to what people would think of when they hear the term genocide. He apologized on multiple occasions for the pain hurt and indignity apartheid caused. This false accusations made against him was done by disingenuous and confused EFF supporters as propaganda to vilify the likes of De Klerk and Mandela because they believe Mandela sold out to white monopoly capital. Again trying to steal votes from the ANC
Hell has another patron tonight
Interesting so illegitimate leaders around the world should just hang on power and not give away power? so incentive for change i guess

I think if you are in a minority group and do not allow the majority to vote, would make you illegitimate.
The hell?!
He was a good man.
