Just Found your channel and I have some request and appreciate your work . First Freebuds Pro 4 on the way and I hope you will also include Anker liberty 4 pro and Apple airpods pro 2 your tests. Second actual wind noise and stimulated wind noise is different. Please use Hair dryer or fan which is closer to your ears if its fake wind noise. Third, can you please use Cafe noise too as compare and if there is any white noise or ear pressure in your test it's better to mention. You have amazing work thanks again.
In my opinion -- there is a difference in how these earbuds enable their background noise canceling on Zoom calls vs Phone Calls. I have done many tests on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro on *phone calls* and they block essentially all background sounds in most all situations. Your test here shows a lot of background sounds bleeding through which makes me think that Zoom is not triggering the Communication Protocol on the buds as phone calls do. Just something for others to keep in mind.
Thanks for watching and the comments! I've done a lot of noisy phone call comparisons as well between these same Earbuds asking various friends and family how I sound, and the outcome is generally the same, as you heard with Zoom, with everyone commenting that Google sounds the worse and HUAWEI sounds the best, and Samsung 2nd and OnePlus 3rd. Unfortunately, there is no way to record my phone calls for me show how each of them compare, like I can with Zoom. Can you also help explain to me this "Communication Protocol" that is not being triggered by Zoom? Given that Google, HUAWEI and OnePlus are also limited by Zoom, as with any other Earbuds or Headsets, the comparison would still be equal. Cheers!
Its worth also mentioning that when making phone calls its also useful to be able to switch between ANC/Transparency mode whilst on a call. Luckily all of the buds in this test support this feature nicely. Because of how natural the transparency mode is with the galaxy buds 3 pro and pixel buds i find calling a very pleasant and natural experience (no occlusion).
As always awesome review and to the point. Still extremely happy with free buds pro 3! haven't failed me once till now. Which is insane. Cant wait to see free buds pro 4 from Huawei ...seems like they are close for release
Here are some headphones I'd love to see in these videos for call qualities in future videos: - Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed Wireless (apparently they have excellent mic noise isolation in busy environments) - Samsung Galaxy FE (they seem to have excellent mic noise isolation in busy environments, even better than the other Galaxy buds earbuds) - Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 (The Jabra Elite Active 10 and 8 Gen 2s seem to have better mic noise isolation compared to the Gen1s. Would love to see how it stacks up to the competition).
Thank you for all your reviews. I bought Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 and amazed with its performance. By far the best after Sony Linkbuds S. All thanks to you because of your reviews.
still the best and unbiased review. months ago I sold my jabra elite 10 to buy the 2nd gen but never happened. I thought that my FBP3 was more than enough for everything else already. I'm using pixel 8 pro and now 9 pro xl. thanks again to this channel for helping me.
I've had the Freebuds Pro 3 since launch (but even the Pro 2 was almost perfect) and it's just great in all areas not just calls. I hardly use it for calls, actually. Gestures on the stem are well thought out, multipoint is just AMAZING, you've got HiRes codecs and are comfortable to wear. I should stop myself from wanting anything else, however Bluetooth LE and AuraCast might be interesting and more future proof.
@@weekendgearguide Do you get white noise or hiss in transparency mode in a quiet environment? That's probably my only complaint and no new firmware is coming really. It's like as if it was trying to pop to the background noise.
@@NegyedMisi Thanks for the question. I get a bit of white noise when Transparency has "Voice Mode" enabled. When "Voice Mode" is disabled, then there is less white noise, but more external noise is let into the Earbuds. Can you comment on your experience when you enable and disable "Voice Mode" when in Transparency Mode? Thx
One plus buds pro 3 is cheaper, barely see the Hauwei on sales either but Oneplus is always one sale and its actually cheaper pound for pound on a normal day
@@richard_alimenti Everyone has what they prioritize, for me the most important thing is the quality of the microphones in a noisy and windy environment (on the go), then sound 🔈, but above all, I hate to the highest point earbuds (in fact all products) that promote a closesytem without having the minimum features outside of it (multipoint, Hi-Res codecs, good call quality...), as I say, everyone has their priorities, but I will never pay to be chained. 🙏🏽
Fantastic channel, i love how you include the not very known ones in your tests, especially the freebuds pro 3, although i haven't been very happy with them, airpods are better
Thanks for your review. Do you have voice isolation turned on or off on your iphone when doing the tests? Do you think you would see similar results on android devices? Thanks.
Thanks for comparison. I bought Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 a couple of month ago. They sound great, mics is great, but transparency mode is awful actually... In quiet environment you will always hear white noise constantly changing from ear to ear or just changing volume of that noise. Very uncomfortable to wear them for a long time in transparency mode. Think about changing them to OnePlus Buds Pro 3, but after your test i not sure if i really want to buy them.
Yep starting to have issues with transparency mode myself. The buds pro 3 (one plus) does have fantastic transparency also by the way so i think you will be happy with them
Buy the one plus pro 3. The best buds for anything. Transparency is same as on airpods pro 2. Bought 5 buds including nothing ear, liberty 4 pro and etc.
A few months ago I bought Huawei Freebuds SE 2 , it is the cheapest Huawei earbuds ( £40) . I am surprised by the quality for the price , good sound though Airpods 3 is better , connectivity is excellent , good battery life and good call quality. I have other earbuds to compare ( Apple Airpods 3 , Bose Quiet Comfort etc ) . It can only be connected to one device at a time , no multipoint connection like the more expensive earbuds though but acceptable for the price.
Do NOT buy earbuds for their call quality. Current Bluetooth protocol doesn't allow stereo audio during a call. This is especially noticeable when doing a video meeting such as Zoom or Teams, where you can only hear your computer audio in mono channel, which is super bad.
@@frostilver that's onr aspect to look at. It's the least important feature for me but it's good to see. Luckily these buds kick ass in all the leagues.
easy fix - just get a earbud that is teams or zoom certified (i.e business jabra earbuds or the jbl tour pro 3) - those who need earbuds for zoom/teams should be looking at earbuds that specialise in this anyway and not just trying to buy 'consumer' earbuds which focus mostly on phone calls, sound and anc
@@SibTiger33 None of them are both Wireless and without an adapter/base. You don't want to always have an adapter sticking out from your laptop, do you?
Come on, and it’s nearly the end of 2024-Competitors, you need to work harder! Unmatched background noise cancellation and call clarity so far. Huawei is still the best!
I think google can fix the call quality issues with the pixel buds pro 2 though. in quiet environments its clearly one of the best though (although thats not hard hahaa) .

In reality, currently, in addition to being the best, the cheapest are the Huawei Freebuds Pro 3 and not the OnePlus Buds Pro 3.

What would recommend for earbuds wearing only one earbud, microphone not to pick up background noise like keyboard and mouse clicks ?
I wonder how the technics AZ 80 would fair in this test.
