    I understand this as in Maine we have birches. I must say you are the only woman I know who cleans her birch trees! You are AMAZING Rachel truly AMAZING!!!

    I remember doing this in primary school in summer during play time, there was something cathartic about seeing all the fresh new bark underneath, the head came out and gave us all a good bollocking I think she was afraid that we'd damage the trees.

      Yeah,bit is very satisfying to peel that bark 😁 Quite addictive too. It's rough that you got in trouble for it in school 😏

      Haha. Yes, indeed. I must say though that weeping birches are less 'peely' than others.

      I am thinking great relief that I only have to bathe my Corgi and not my trees. I have no birches. a hearty giggle here!

    While it doesn’t damage the tree, it seems a bit unnatural to me. I appreciate the aging snd natural peeling of the bark. Each to their own though.

    I feel like that is a job better suited to a pressure washer, or I'm just lazy and looking for a shortcut🤣

      I'm not sure about a pressure washer. I'd be afraid it would damage the tree.
