Hello Everyone, it’s been almost 6 years since I uploaded this dumpster fire of a video to the internet. I honestly didn’t think it would have exploded like it did in 2018 when it got released on Steam but here we are. The reason the audio is messed up is because the audio output chord for my SNES is messed up, I didn’t know what until after. I was more or less just excited to try out my new capture card at the time. Also considering I was a kid back then, even I find my own intro to be super cringe now (which I’m sorry to everyone for). Looking back it was 2014 when I uploaded this, so it doesn’t surprise me that the video is downright bad compared to today’s standards. Feel free to ask questions, I can answer them best I can. Stay safe everyone, hopefully this pandemic ends soon.
Dude you are incredible!!! I love the fact that you didn't give time for the lavos bit to restore power!!! Hmm....considering that your level is beyond 99, maybe I have to do a new game plus at least 20 times with grinding; now I need to figure how many hours exactly do I have to milk levels + experience at the beginning of the game. It is possible to get to level 10 with chrono and marle when you start out it just takes a little time and patience.
Oh please, don't start with that offshoot connection story that somehow links this masterpiece with Chronic Cross. Like, HOW could Marle's kingdom fall to a bunch of soft fingered merchants from Porre, army or not? They have the Chrono FighterZ (u like that reference?) On their side. Completely trash, just a way to shoehorn in that dystopian future. Now, I HAVE played nosy of that fan game that connects these two, and it was pretty cool. It just froze partway thru so I never got to finish and fight King Zeal.
@@TonyBMan not to mention that he has a time machine and can throw a nuke whenever he wants, yea, there was no way that it could have been a mere possibility.
@@andresmarrero8666 Cross went with the ending where they destroyed the Epoch. Sadly... I just couldn't and still can't fathom how easily Chrono, Lucca, and Marle were killed off. Not even having a chance to have descendents. Which also throws the timeline out of whack as the old man (I can't remember his name forgive me) from the 2300ad ruins is shown to be a descendent of the Gaurdia line. Lets also not forget the those three also fought Magus's army and survived. Unless Porre was packing nukes (btw where the hell did they manage to form an army) I just don't see it. Cross and I'll say this til the day I die is a good game but its link to Trigger was crappy at best. It wasn't revealed until late game to the point you have to question if they threw that in late in development. Like they saw how it was turning out and they were afraid it wasn't going to sell well so they shoehorned in a Chrono Trigger link just to sell the game. Makes you wonder, at least it does me.
@@Ceraii and the chances that Lucca didn't make another time and gave it to Crono is almost zero. I kinda agree with you on Cross's relation to trigger, but apparently they wanted to make a sequel to trigger but at the same time wanted nothing to do with Trigger. To make it even worse, the one in charge of Cross had zero care in storytelling, completely disregarding any central theme and basic elements of storytelling. Hence why it felt like a wayward dream with no anchor going all over the place.
I wish teh sound had been stereo, but lemme get this straight: Your strategy consists of bombing Lavos into the stone age as you chug mountain dew like water. Like, not even joking, straight up, thats all there is to it. Nice.
That's how most people do it, though. I was expecting to see something amazing and saw what can only be described as average, including misuse of items. Elixir wasn't worth using at the end there, it would have been more justifiable to have simply used a Full Ether to get his MP back up to max so he could finish bombing Lavos. Of course, this is even after 100% (possibly) so his item use technically doesn't matter.
Yup. This was more or less what I did but I did't have to go to 99 to do so. Elixer and Full Ether were much easier to get so if you wanted a real challenge you went with Marle or another character in the party as well.
Robert Pendell Even getting Megaelixirs was extremely easy actually. You can steal them from some of the first enemies in the Black Omen as well as Full Ether and Elixir. At that point, money was already useless and I stacked up around 20 Megaelixirs which I only used 2 of.

i dont understand, why does lvl 99 luminare /elixir warrant an entire video like its special?
According to the strategy guide, if you fight Lavos in the first 20 minutes of the game, that is the hardest lavos you will ever encounter minus dream devour lavos which was in the ds version. I couldn't be bothered to play new game plus on the ps1 version.
grind dont stop
With haste helm too, nova if I remember locks status. Who the hell cares with a unlimited supply of elixirs.
