Excellent content !!! You are definitely doing things no one else is doing. Anyone can install parts, but you are showing what the part does, what gains it did or didn't do,dyno results, etc. Outstanding content ,a lot of people are going to benefit from your labor and love .I appreciate everything you do my man. I think you just took this Foxbody game to the next level.I see your channel blowing up in the next few months. Thank you for the knowledge my man.💯🔥💯🔥🇺🇲
Thx for the words man!
Absolutely 💯
I swear this car was owned by someone down the street from me back in the early 2k’s. You guys in south western pa
Nah was pulled from Cleveland area?
It's like watching ferris beuhlers day off, mod, dyno, track, repair, that's a lot in a day's time lol
Ya I should do multiple videos right? Nah fk it
you had to change the pushrods for a longer one. do you know what the measure
I did used TW heads, a pretty heavily ported Exploder intake and 1-5/8th shorties into and off road H. It's running like a champ now....found .040 over forged Speed Pros in my junkyard engine. Kewl. I love these little upgrade videos; it all adds up, man.
Yes sir !
That Mustang the blue one is beautiful.
Thx
🤘🤘
Rocker arm ratio reduces valve train stability. By putting more load on the springs and valves that you cam wasn't designed for
"Rocker arm ratio" Very vague, and very wrong...so your theory is to only use stock flimsy cast rockers, and weak valve springs for "proper" stability?? Let me ask....why would changing the ratio of identical rockers cause stability issues??
Springs have open/close values for your cam and rpm...the rockers aren't pressing down harder than a smaller ratio...
Looking forward to the gt40/explorer intake after we see a track time from the spring/rocker upgrade!
Video idea for the future: how you do your burn out, staging and launch in dad’s car. Since it’s a full street car and you’re not using two step, line lock etc etc, it would show the regular foxbody guys like myself, who are new to the track, on how to do it with a non drag car. Maybe a go-pro set up near your feet kind of deal to show how it’s all done. Just a thought!
That’s a good idea!
You should do the gt40 intake first and then the heads to show the difference
Yrp
I want to do this. I got a Factory 185kw Windsor V8.
Can you just run stock cam and valves with these springs and rockers
Yes
Your a gentleman and a scholar
Ty
Great video brother!! Well explained and a drive afterwards. Watched it with a coffee. Thanx for sharing👍👍
Thanks 👍
You're stepping up your game with the videos. Thanks for the solid content!
I appreciate that!
@@Neomustangs you seem to be having more fun while you're doing it. Glad to be along for the ride.
@@pimpovic2 THanks. It just makes more sense. Stock parts.. stuff like this.. i have fun with. Expensive stuff like my blk and white car.. not so much.
@@Neomustangs lower stakes, I get it. And you're likely to get viewers interested because it's stuff everyone can do.
Not everybody can afford a stroked 351 with twin clutch e.t.c.
Either way, great idea for a build series.
Once again great content keep coming. Thanks !
Thanks, will do!
This channel should have a lot more subscribers and views. No BS, worthwhile content for serious Fox owners. Thanks for sharing.
Ty !
Love your videos
Ty
Keep them coming brother
Yes sir
Thx for the Friday content man
Yw man
My favorite cam 303 B
YEP
Finally got around to watching this. Need me sum rockers in me 93 coupe got the valve spring upgrade goin on my 3 bars now need throw sum rockers on while I at it. Yee yee!😎
Yes sir !
Bro, ya done good with this one LOL!
Do the Explorer intake, run it. Then do the heads, run it. Most people want to do the easy stuff first.
Yep!
I had a noticeable difference with the Explorer intake on my worn out 5.0. No gasket match or cleanup - just bolted it on. I did already have the Explorer TB.
Great video.
Thanks! THanks for watching!
I've been thinking of doing same thing on my son's 93 lightning
Would be good
Blowin up the rear end? Nice.
Sending it
@@Neomustangs you are and I love it
Good vido ..lots of good info im doing the same mod on my nova ..
Nice !
So you gonna beef up the tranny, clutch , diff and axles to cope with the increased power?
Mods get expensive real fast because it's a whole system where each part has a knock on effect in performance, drivability and reliability.
I go a different direction and strip out weight from the car but keeping the mechanical parts 99 per cent stock. Lose the rear seat, spare wheel, stereo, drilled holes in the wheels, smaller tire size, fit a motorcycle fuel tank. Cheap option.
My 302 has been waiting for this. Everyone is getting it right. We want cheap good horsepower
For sure!
Doing work . Good video keeping coming 👍🏻
Ty
That's a good score on the rockers. You'll never find those in my parts period let alone for that money. I haven't been able to find a set of affordable ones other than proform and just can't seem to convince myself it would be worth risk considering their reputation. Great info and video. Looking forward to the Gt40 heads and intake test. I have a set of 40p's and explorer upper and lower ready to go.
Thx man.
Beatiful
Ty
This is good shit for the ones wanting to do a budget build. I did ot too. Ended up running mid 7s on a shit track. 1/8 that is. But anyways man I hit the subscribers button. I've seen a few other videos of yours. Going to hang out for a bit
I apprecaite that.
Do you think it's worth trying a used set of 1.7s or just try and find new?
Ya i would reuse them if they arent in bad shape.
Thanks for taking us on the ride. It was a bummer when it broke but I am sure you will fix it and be back. What tires are you running at the track? Stick cars are hard on parts with drag radials. Get and adjustable long arm clutch, bias slicks or a clutch tamer. I have the last and love it.
I’ll look into that
Torq is what I'm interested in.
Right.
all that ,n cousin Paul too. liked vid,ha!
THx bruh
i really want to take a trip from green bay to ashtabula in spring. driving a WI survivor with 133000. looking for a somewhat hidden refresh
The 88 valve cover requires serious surgery, 90+ have fewer ridges, ribs in em and you can just pull the baffle.
Yep
@@Neomustangs Do you ever have any of those rockers for sale? Thanks.
IDK if anyone cares or not but to do the math, divide the cam lift by the advertised rocker ratio, then multiply by the new ratio. (0.444/1.6) X 1.7= 0.472 (rounded to third decimal place)
Yep and you get almost BCam numbers! with factory rockers or 1.6
10:26 It looks like the roller rockers worked.
Maybe too well
Sweet video Dan... you're absolutely right about dumping parts and money into something with expectations high then selling it from lack of results. I did that with a BMW S1000rr. Question man, when you run the valves what's your preference with pedestal mount? Torque em down or EOIC method? I know you said only FORD parts but maybe time for a spool??
Man I dunno that was a 31 spline diff.
Hey man found this video and love all your content. I have a set of gt40p heads and did the TFS valve springs already but wasn’t sure if I should do the stock gt40p rockers or go with something after market like a 1.6 or 1.7 roller? I do have a bcam that I just installed as well.
Go 1.7
Awesome thanks man!
What valve covers did you end up using? I’m planning on throwing a set of 1.7’s on my car here soon, it’s already got a B-cam with afr165’s. I also have SVE aluminum valve covers on it as well which I thought looked like the ones you threw on but wasn’t too sure lol
Factory style chrome ones.
For the love of god!!!!!! Ypure killin me smalls....😄 on another note i pullied my strim down 2 weeks ago and now i think im getting valve float..around 5600 ish rpm it just goes flat. I have afr 165s i bought new in 2005. I believe i remember hearing the afr springs were weak.
Definately weak. Replace valves, maybe rockers.. call the doc in the morning lol!
@@Neomustangs yeah im still running the factory rockers. But if i can score some cobra rollers on a deal i will get those.
@@Bobby4v Best on the planet for E7TE and GT40.
I cant imagine what would've happened if that was a real b cam.
Woulda made more hp ish but this was a bone stock motor
Great Video! I’ve got a set 1.7s I’ve been thinking about using. Can you use them with factory pushrods or do they require a different length?
Nope u can use them with factory pushrods
Can I have link for the springs and do I need to machine the heads for the install
Look up Trickflow 2500-100 springs. Google. Summit sells. LMR sells.. etc
@@Neomustangs thanks man
I'm running a 347 with Edelbrock RPM II Performer Heads which I believe are 170cc. I can't remember the lift of my Comp Cam at the moment but I'm running Upgraded Comp springs & 2.02 valves. Would the 1.7's be better than the 1.6's? Also I'll be turbo'n it later this year.
I’m just trying to figure out what that camaro next to you at the track was doing 😂. Launching in reverse.
Haha you seen that !
@@Neomustangs yes lol. I was like “Damn that’s a good way to get whiplash”
what springs?
TFS 2500-100
@@Neomustangs thanks!
How fast do you think it would be with blueprint 190cc heads all other things are basically the same except with the b303 and no power adder? Thanks for any info
Man that’s too vague to guess
@@Neomustangs The heads flow 250cfm @ .500 lift and I'm using the b-303 with 1.7's (.510/.510) stock bottom end t5 and 4.10's. Hoping for around 400 at the crank before I put the bottle on but just looking for a realistic power number or something close.
Damn!! 30 horsies from.springs and roclers!!?
Do you lower your air pressure in the tires for the dyno? Maybe to help tire spin?
Time to get them 31 splines ?
It was 31 spline lol!
@@Neomustangs NO SH!T!!?
Most of it was the valve springs, but yeah, the power is there if you know where to look.
I bought a set of these 1.7 roller rockers as well. did you have to shim them on stock head stock cam car?
No
@@Neomustangs bam 💥 ok thank you
Those are good numbers. How much boost does it make? Are you running long tube headers or shorties?
Shorty headers so thats another mod. 7.1 pounds at 6k..
@@Neomustangs The number are really good for the mods.👍
My Tuner is an old school foxbody racer, and he says to skip the long tubes. Stay with shorties and a good exhaust setup, and you'll keep that low end torque. Not to mention the tuning issues that may arise, by moving the 02 sensors further down line from the original location. Can mess with the readings...
But, could be interesting to see what they do to the numbers and the curve on a dyno.
@@pimpovic2 Check out some of Richard holdeners videos. Longtubes add power throughout the entire curve, even down low.
Do the intake first and then the heads so we old schoolers can see what numbers we were making back then before the Dyno revolution began. :)
For sure!
@@Neomustangs And then hit it with the 125 shot...telling you it used to rattle even the Tremec lol...and..just put it in second gear and do a nice little burnout you Neanderthal lol....
@@robertelmo7736 haha
💪💪💪
Uu
Have you still been doing the flip flop of the rods and pistons
Not yet on this car. I made a video about doing that on project hotwheels.
Did you use the gt pushrods?
You mean stock pushrods?
@@Neomustangs correct
So what was the original ratio?
Stock
@@Neomustangs Yes.... again, what is the OE ratio?
@@bigblockjalopy yes..
Next up: intake
Yep
did you dyno after the spring swap?
Yes
Dont Let These Rob You Of Horsepower! This Mod is Often OVERLOOKED!
@@Neomustangs absolutely. stock springs are for stock cams. plain and simple. and they were just barely adequate back then.
That’s right
Tussins out 😭
I wont give up the hope.
When you say bone stock you referring to factory shorty's factory throttle body
It’s a stock motor. Exhaust is usually left out of equation
@@Neomustangs Nice! I just did long tubes and 65mm TB and cold Air kit as well as BBK's 76mm MAF sensor.
Helped tons. I like your videos keep them coming.
This one with valve springs and rollers will be next
Nice !
Dude, think it might be time to scrap the 8.8 and install a 9”! I went through 3 LSD’s and one axle housing before I put a 9” in mine with a curry stage 3 3rd member. I get you want to stay in stock form for most of the car but, those 8.8’s even if their specifically built for high hp drag racing are weak as hell. I’ve even seen guys use custom Dana 44 & 60 axles under these things with pretty much stock LSD’s that take a lot of power without blowing apart like 8.8 diffs do.
I hear ya.
Bro great video homie love the carnage. Awsome keep it coming. 👍🏼✌🏼
Thanks! Will do!
I actually like seeing results from low buck mods. I'd dare to say that low buck mods probably represents about 70 percent of the fox public. Also is the limited slip breakage a common track problem with the 8.8?? I've actually never seen that before. I was thinking. Maybe since MOST of the restriction is in the heads, try doing the GT40 HEADS first, do a dyno run then do the intake swap, do another dyno run. In my opinion too may people think they will get big results running an GT40 INTAKE with e7 heads. When actually Bigger gains will be had if the stock heads are swapped first. Pair that with some light porting the stock lower and you have some good stealthy upgrades on the down low. Just my 2 cents.
Im pretty sure that the pin came loose..
Who can tune my 89 in California
Anyone ?
Please come up with ( something new ) this mod is at least 60 years old .
Hahha good one bro
2 suggestions... throw away that shit ass stock ford fuel injection crap and throw a mans intake on it and go carb or fuel injection from this century! And who fucks with a 8.8? 9" rear end or nothing...
Lol
What are you using megasquirt
No.. im using nothing. FMU and stock SPeed density computer.
@@Neomustangs i have a 90 hatch gt auto and motor is real clean and healthy .... I got a gt40p top-end to throw on it don't throw a cam in there and some goodies trying to figure out how I'm going to tune it after ....injectors xcetera been watching you for years great content but yeah if you have any input on the cheapest route to tune the 90 GT Fox body for the upgrades that I'm going to be doing
