The meaning of 'hakaliah' - god is 'hidden', reminds me Psalm 91, only those who truly seek Yahweh and are found by him are blessed spiritually. Thank you.

This was the single best talk on leadership in church that I have heard! Thank you!
One tiny observation... when you mention that women weren’t involved in the building of the wall.... daughters of Shallum were specifically mentioned in v 12 of chapter 3
Women were rightly involved, the daughters of Shallum and even if they were not mentioned there is no way all these men will achieve all these success without the backing of a woman.

Love his teaching! I missed so much when I was reading this on my own ! It took me 2.5 hours to watch this coz there was so much notes to take I kept hitting pause/rewind !
One question I have ... @53:29 mins on chapter 12:43 “women and children also rejoiced” ...Dr Smith said “why even women & children were mentioned even though they weren’t the ones who helped put up the wall...it’s becoz they were families” ...but Chapter 3:11 said Shallum and his daughters made the repairs.
I noticed it when I was reading the book before I found this video, though it was presumed Shallum didn’t hv sons, the mention of the daughters is firstly, interesting to me, and secondly it reads like a significant message, given the time period?

This is a powerful study regarding the book of Nehemiah. I was concerned when he said intermarriage without emphasizing the Jewish people were not to marry pagans. some people may think it has more to do with ones race

Nehemiah may not have gone into the Temple but I think David ate the Shewbread of the Temple and got away with it, didn't he?
