@@majorpark More Gaijin likes sticking to Russian sources no matter how wrong they are if they have them. It took 2 years for the Ju-87D-5 to get its dive brakes. There were even multiple pictures and documents shown saying that it was the Ju-87D-5 and Gaijin still claimed that what was being presented to them was not and could not be the Ju-87D-5. Gaijin said no to documentation of the He-100D in game being a prototype and multiple examples from Heinkel showing what the actual He-100D was because Gaijin had Russian documentation that said otherwise even though some of the documentation from Heinkel that was presented showed that the Russian documentation that Gaijin was using was actually about He-100 prototypes.

Really cool how the Q-5L irl has both countermeasures and AAMs (PL-7s, ie magic 1s) irl, but gaijin hates chinese air and gives it neither. Pretty sure it is the only rank VII without either flares nor aams, not to mention China gets a grand total of about 6 domestic designs in their air tech tree.

they have the best dogfighter jet in the game and the second best premium which is F-5C 's bane of existence (a5C) , the American versions of the tree (ROCAF) are the best of each US tree (P47 D30, P51K, P38 LO5, Kitty hawk, Curtis Wright 21, direct step from f104a (best performing 104 since it can dogfight) to the F5A Freedom fighter and finally the F5EM Taiwan)

I'd like to see another a-5c video, I feel like it compresses more than it used to at high speeds which makes diving on people a little more tricky.
I would like to see a new video on the A-5C. Its especially good at taking out all the premium players from the recent sales. I think you mentioned its great energy retention in the first video you made on it, but if you take low fuel and are going below 800 kph you can actually out turn practically everything - pretty useful for taking out F-5Cs who think you'll be an easily kill if they get on your six.
It only has good energy retention because it compresses like a bitch but that’s kinda the point
the A-5C even got a ballistic computer on the new patch so now you can use it to ground pound easily.

I already own it and used it to grind the J-7E but would love to see a new video with more fights against F-5Cs as that is your primary nemesis in November of 2022 and your last video didn't feature that matchup. F-5 vs A-5 was always a good fight if the other guy was competent.
I'm not a big fan of the cannons but they hit pretty hard and are pretty effective after you learn them. 18 flares is more than enough in most games even after the introduction of the AIM-9L. Interesting how often I found myself using the airbrake to get this bastard to turn. Overall I would say it was a pretty fun grind.
Just a good info you might missed is that they added balistic computer for missiles And bombs for A5c

It laughs at missles because IT IS THE MISSLE (next to it’s amazing guns, and verry good all-round performance)

I prefer the non-night one because its flight performance is competitive at 3.3 and the guns are good for the br too.

I'm split between getting the F-5C or the A-5C, the F-5C seems like a better plane and it looks more fun, but I already have the US tree grinded out. The A-5C seems more boring but it would also give me a way to get to high tier quickly in a new tree; I only have US/USSR top tier right now. Any thoughts?

There are two things Gaijin could do to instantly make the game far more enjoyable to play:
1: Tickets. Tickets are representative of opponent team total Aircraft pool, objectives are mission and bonus objectives, all opposing aircraft _must_ be eliminated in order to win before the timer runs down. If the battle times out, highest ticket count wins.
2. Midfield AAA. Who tf wants to be mid-dogfight only to have their opponent smacked in the face by AAA? Who plays this game to constantly chew straight bs from midfield AAA? That's not "immersion", that's a big waste of everyone's time and frustrating as all fuck. I can only imagine how many potential new players loaded up the game, full of excitement and enthusiasm, only to get shot down by the 'clearly on straight crack cocaine' midfield AAA three times in a row, quit in disgust and uninstalled right then. It's so mind-blowingly overpowered at low tier RB, it's like they're _trying_ to discourage new players.

Even in ground rb, the L is not that good, sure they have guided bombs but I think the q5a is still good enough for ground attack since it has a ccip for rockets and bombs. The rockets also good for one tapping tanks (that big rocket type 130 or something)
there are bugs on Q5L,gaijin dont give it flares and PL-2 missiles that it has in reality,,,no more need to say that PL-11 missiles...and the laser guiden Bombs will lose aiming while you change your sight from bomb aiming sight to the third sight ,there are two guide eyes:the plane head one and the hanging one,gaijin s bug is that when you change into the third sight,it will auto turn to head eye,but in logic it should still use the hanging one ,and laser aiming will auto close so...in a word,Q5L is a shit,play A5C or Q5I

Don't even bother, basically nothing you can do and if you go into a turn right with it you're 100% gonna lose unless the pilot is inexperienced

@@aerose5868 well yeah laptops in aud are pretty expensive especially got ones with rtx3050 or 3060. im running intel uhd graphics on min getting 30. however planes or helis etc dont render properly so once i spent half the match looking for a heli porbably in plain sight for other players

I've noticed since the last major update, if you have anything in the background using hardware acceleration, war thunder doesn't play nice with it. Try turning off hardware acceleration on some of the applications you have running, at least while war thunder is running. It should get rid of those stutters.

6:25 Dont know from what to what youre upgrading but I had this same stuttering in ground RB while flying plus the game eventually crashed after a few times. My setup is an RTX 3080 and a Ryzen 7 5800X so seems to me like it could be a problem with the game instead of performance. But I did get new drivers after that and havent had the bug since so it couldve just been the drivers too.
I am on an i7 8700k and an RTX3080 which i doubt should struggle with a game like this

Q-5's: Missing PL-5 missiles an the Q-5L missing C/M's.
MiG-21S (technically a MiG-21SM): missing R-13 missiles and a C/M pod.
There's a forum post that goes into the MiG-21 that explains it all.
But yeah if both aircraft had their much needed equipment they would totally be great to fly.

My only problem with the Q-5's are the absolutely dogshit guns those things have. At least with the A-5C you have the missiles, with the Q-5's you have to rely on those water pistols.
A 9.0 plane being at 9.7 because it has better ordnance for ground battles. Gaijin sees no problem with this in Air RB, where you're basically required to play in order to grind out those air-to-ground ordnance modifications. A stock Q-5A and a stock Q-5L, is there literally ANY difference between the two to justify the .7 BR difference?

In real life, the MiG19 had a very good horizontal turn maneuverability. Just stay in the vertical and the MiG19 was dead meat.

How to play the Q-5L... don't. I used the A-5C to grind the entire Chinese tech tree. The A-5C is a great plane as long as you follow the same advice given in this video.
