  • #Milap present 'Pibare Rama Rasam', an excerpt from ‘Sushama’ by Kuchipudi Artist Sreelakshmy Govardhanan for our online Diwali 2020 Festival.
    'Sushama':
    Splendour, exquisitely bright, beautiful.
    The beauty that gives ‘Chidaananda’
Life is about taming and filtering your own desires. Cleansing is an inner process... the more you go within, the Antar Jyoti awakens and fills us with that divine light...
For me lighting the lamp is symbolically awakening one's inner light.
Through ‘ Sushama’, the journey of ones own self from purifying your within, to understanding the essence of life just by focused and meditative living is portrayed through the language of Kuchipudi.

Madam, very nice presentation. The explanation that u gave at the beginning was so clear and it reminds me of bharatanatyam exponent Smt Rema Vaidyanathan. U explained the theme with the help of mudras & expressions. I am also happy to acknowledge your guidance that you gave to my daughter, when she attended a kuchupudi workshop conducted by you at kottayam.🙏
