One of the most underrated guitarist/teacher on UA-cam...I've been watching Zoupa for years now and like the way he transcribes and explain things but when i look at the subscriber count and the views, my heart just melts, it just makes me sad..this guy is putting out quality content but still...........though in the meanwhile some shithead will post a shitty video which wont help you in any which way but the story becomes different there..
1 year later same thought here dude, and u know what i m wandering around like "is it possible to learn this power" :) its been a week and still trying to learn it
I searched "chris zoupa mr crowley" just to repeatedly listen to you playing this solo and there's a brand new version of one of my favorite videos. Ty papa zoup
dude your original mr crowley solo video made me break thru a several years plateau of solo difficulty. so glad youre making more vids, your style of teaching is the best for me.
Been waiting years to finally feel prepared to learn this. Your video made the passages clear and easy to memorize. I'm just at a gentleman's pace now, but I know in no time I'll be up to RR's---and your--speed. Thanks, dude.
thanks! I needed that! Instead of sliding up to the 12th fret on the 6th string for the very last note before the drive on the A string, I like to catch that note on the 5th string 7th fret then pull off to dive the A string.
What I found from this video is that it is sad that Randy is not here to explain his playing and note choices. As he bening a teach at heart would have love teaching people his songs.
Chris thanks for the great lessons. Had a gig needed to do shepherd of fire. I was lost trying to figure out the solo. Googled it and you saved my gig. I'm still sloppy on it, but hey it gets me by.
“Two quick angry thirteens there … From that point there’s a couple of weird , kind of gross chromatic … It kind of works… I don’t know why he chose them… I’m a bit grossed out by them but ANYWAY” ❤ Man. I love the way you teach !
I have bought an Jackson js22 with jumbo frets to learn a lot of solos, and your channel is full of epic solos to learn!!! Thanks for all the work man! Cheers from Spain
watrched 4 timers. got it nailed. well as much as anyone can nail Rhandy or even Chris.. So, Chris , you get the award for best instructional video ever.. Do you give lessons virtuallyvor in person....? Hope you read this.
4:24 Ive seen Randy do that in other songs as well. Those ‘gross’ notes are the Flat 5 from the D minor blues scale. Randy would throw in the flat 5 blue scale notes in odd kind of ‘dissonant’ places sometime. He made it work; but definitely not the most pleasing to hear. Anyway, not trying to be a dick, love the channel. I subbed and TY for the refresher. Been a while since I played through that solo. It was fun. I like your succinct nature to the videos.
I'm sorry but why would anyone hit "thumbs down" on this? Just move along (and see if you can do a better job). Great job Chris, thank you for the time, effort and expertise to bring us this fantastic tutorial. BTW have you done the solo in Steal Away the Night? Would love to see your tutorial on that one.
You should try to do the solos from Three Lives by Octavision, there are absolutely no lessons online for it so I think you could get some recognition for doing it. Also it would be sick if u could redo Hangar 18 :)
Excellent as always Chris! i always admired Randy's solos! i also admire a lot Chris Oliva, do you like Savatage? can you do some Savatage songs in the future if you do? those solos are sick! Greetings from Chile!
I was hoping for a remake of this solo, it definitely deserved one! Could you please do Jason's guest solo from Spellbound, by Kevin Blake Goodwin? It's an insanely challenging solo, I'd really love a lesson
I always hated that part too, but I thought I was alone lolll but you perfectly called them gross.. because for such a magnificent guitar part I couldn't understand either why he did that little chromatic run.
you should upstroke the pull off then continue straight alternate picking from there, that way ur always going with an upstroke to the string above (from e to b, b to g etc.) that's the easiest (imo)
Can someone pls share gtp from this video? Pentatonic runs by Chris are so accurate, i just want to practice it through the GuitarPro8 with different tempo and metronome click feature

There's a rating scale?
@@2hi2dye there is no rating scale but creators who put a lot of effort expect results.
Man, never thought I’d be able to touch this solo but you’ve broken it down so well I’m actually almost doing it
1 year later same thought here dude, and u know what i m wandering around like "is it possible to learn this power" :) its been a week and still trying to learn it
@@psikologOzanUnluunfortunately he simplifies it in a few sections, so don’t take this as a note for note but more as a good enough.
That Jackson is a thing of beauty. Love the colour.
It’s this very solo that got me into guitar around 1983 🤘

Love that guitar, Amazing lesson!
Thanks for making it look so easy. We've all noticed you're using a pick lately, but we're not going to say anything.
well to be technical we can let him off coz he's still not holding one.... i.e: thumb condom
1993 - 2019... The nails had a good run. It's time to change my ways.
Chris Zoupa why’d you switch back?

Chris, how do pick the pentatonic triplets near the start? I find it difficult changing strings with a downward pick slant.

Cool guitar solo!
Anyway, you don't play Yngwie?

Chris, please tell us the way of correctly doing the intro sweeps in part 2 solo! I can't get it to speed no matter what I have tried :(
Before I film it... Let me tell you I outside pick it! So start on an up pick on the pull off. It's the same in enter sandman.
