- It was standing room only on the first train today. I could only film from whatever open window was not already occupied by other photographers. There was a strong breeze coming in from the sea so some segments with interesting content unfortunately had to be deleted owing to the excessive wind noise spoiling the video!
All those sounds and sights of steam locomotion make it really evocative Mike -just like being there !

It must be lovely to stay in one of those caravans or even a camping coach at Blue Anchor.
Now there's a good idea for a holiday!
Me and my wife had a holiday in one of the static caravans at Blue Anchor last year. We were about 50 yards from the train line and 50 yards from the beach. Best holiday we’ve ever had.

I understand your frustration. Strong winds can be a nuisance. I've suffered a very different frustration to this. A certain factory team are taking far too long to release the second batch of new Dapol Manor models. I've had my pre-order of Foxcote Manor cancelled, thanks to Rails of Sheffield for obliging at my request. But fear not. I resorted to Plan B and bought a new model of Hinton Manor (still available to purchase), plus some Foxcote Manor name and numberplates from Silver Tay Models, ebay, and now new Hinton Manor has been turned into my beloved Foxcote Manor. I'm very pleased with myself for doing this.

Excellent video, and thankfully, seems to be good numbers on the trains. It is peak season for you (or almost: I assume August is busiest).
Travelling numbers are quite high this year which is good news!

Val is currently away visiting her sister so was not on this journey. It was very satisfying to ride behind steam again.

I prefer the passenger's view over the driver's view in a video.
That is what we normally experience when visiting the railway so is more typical.
