- It was an enjoyable day even though all did not go well with the Paddle Steamer!
As a mark of respect for the 80 Years D Day Celebrations, Loco 7828 on its second appearance is again carrying the Norton Manor nameplate for the local Commando Camp.
I had a better version of D Day on the Llangollen Railway: DMU Day.
No Waverley but it looks like you had a lovely day all the same.
What a nice video again ... I love seeing all the country scenes especially with a steam train comes along 😊... my only regret is I can't sniff the unmistakable smell of the coal fire in the engines ..😒
Nice to see the two "Manors " Mike and shame you missed seeing the Waverley but the end clip was good to see. Glad you both enjoyed the day, thank you.
Thank you Terry. It was a good day for us even without Waverley.
A great video again Mike. Tom and I were heading along the Welsh coast after an unexpected change in course -we found out when lining up for fish and chips on board! - too windy this time, and an hours delay at Clevedon !, The Paddle Steamer Waverley will be heading for Minehead again on June 20th - but without us - its now fully booked ! Hope to see you both before too long
We both were looking forward to seeing you both, probably at a distance however!
Hi Mike. Thank you for the video of the Waverly not coming to Minehead. One question: Why was the locomotive 7828 named Odney Manor going into Minehead but Nordon Manor when coming back?
From Chris Johnson.
They dressed her up as Norton manor in 2011 and I believe they have done it today just for one day to celebrate the 40 squadron once again. Not sure on that however haha
Thank -you Railfanner that maybe why.
😊
2:55 Did not expect to see a Honda NSX today! Lovely video as always sir
I was surprised to see that Honda too. If I had seen it earlier I would have taken more video of it.
Back to Norton manor are we?
I find it an easier name to remember as its a local one
