And now were finally seeing his vision and what a f*cking gorgeous vision it is. We play quick but controlled, reckless yet calm, and most importantly we play with heart. Every player defends, every player attacks. This is Mikel Artetas work finally paying off.
I was absolutely gutted when Arteta left City. Pep can be a genius when setting up his team's, but it is the staff around him that are responsible for getting the messages across to the players, and Mikel was responsible for having a major role in improving the players such as Raheem. Wishing him the best of luck at Arsenal as he deserves it (not against City of course!)
I feel like it's especially clear now how important Mikel was for City. I feel that Pep is now even more prone to overthinking, as it's likely that Mikel helped him tactically too, and sometimes prevented him from trying to for overtly complicated strategies that wouldn't work in practice.
I wish Tifo could do one for Lampard, but he doesn’t have a clear style The video they did do on him made me even more confused with the way Lampard plays
i think it is quite hard to exploit. Most goalkeepers can only physically kick the ball a certain distance. There are a few who can whack it 80+ yards with the wind behind them, but kicking a ball that sort of distance is very inaccurate and just gives possession away more often than not.

The football we're seeing Arsenal play is far from being what Arteta wants. I think he wants to be as attacking as City, or even more, but he's still building to that. Good about Arteta tactic, players could change the positioning and tactical formation based on situation, without having Arteta involvement of switching tactic. He is now focusing on work ethic of his players without a ball (pressing & positioning) and play from the back as a habit (mature & calm in own box). Thats what we can see now, with Ramsdale couple of times successfully pass the ball straight to Lacazette and surpassed the opposition press. Problem now (need to be fixed) goal convertion. Auba laugh and smilling everytime he make mistake, thats not a good sign.
