Marketing your music isn't hard yet most music creators will fail because they overcomplicate things by insisting that they "figure it out themselves". I've got some hearing loss and tinnitus pretty bad as a result of living on an aircraft carrier for 39 months, so I can empathize with your situation at least to some extent. I love your passion man. I’m a a music producer l make instrumentals for R&B and Hip Hop artists but I also love to make video game music. Both recreations of older video games and my own originals. Do I have to create 2 different brands for these entirely separate genres?
Yes I would. If the genres were closer you could promote from one but those are very different and would need a different strategy for each.

Hi Adam! I love your videos and they are really helpful. I'm an upcoming producer that has been signed to a label for the first time (a small one). My longterm goal is to make a living of making music, and my current goal is to get signed to a bigger labels. I understand that marketing is important, and I've seen some small results from my marketing. I have tried and I must say that I hate video creating, which many producers use to market their songs. Like tips and tricks videos, song walkthrough videos, vlogs, etc, it is simply not for me. How important is it? Can I build a brand using pictures and simpler short clips on instagram for example, and some simple music videos such as those on my UA-cam channel? I get it that if you are going to be an independant artist, you simply need to use every way of marketing as possible. How does marketing matters when it comes to someone like me who's ambition is to work with big labels, offer services like mixing/mastering, ghost production, sell sample packs, etc?
I also do have the time and I have the energy to market my music, but I don't know how, any tips?

William, the how is laid out for you. Whether it's my channel and programs or others creators out there you can acquire the know how with ease. The real issue is your mindset. EVERYONE starts out as an independent artist, if you are signed to a "label" with that mindset I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. When your mindset shift happens, I'll be here.

I had a series of ear infections that lead to the calcification of my eustachian tube.
lets be honest, more then probably 73% of the people here are gonna say their genre is gonna be Hip-hop i mean wasnt it yours??.... so the question isnt whats gonna be your genre because we know its a bit saturated. the question is how we gonna push YOU forward using the typical style genre
