this is just heartbreaking man. everyone involved with DSG didn't deserve anything near this, as well as the rest of the competeting teams. this isn't fair at all. i hope all goes well in the future and funds find there way towards you guys to come back even stronger than you would have done currently. you got my vote man. getting an award should never be a given even for the other contenders you mentioned, it's an honor and i hope we can band together to provide that for you. I think a good way to hand the situation would be for some kind of redemption/apology tournament to be held for all the teams that got screwed over by the cheaters, and have the winner of that do a show-match with the Evil Geniuses. Least that's what I think.

Can't do that to Evil geniuses, as much as it sucks for DSG, EG did nothing wrong and anything that would further put an asterisk on the tournament is unfair to the players on EG. It's also a bit of a lucky break for Riot that EG ended up against DSG anyway, it takes out the idea that EG only won because DSG got taken out by cheaters. It's far from fair, but like Toast said, shit happens, punish the cheaters, remember it as fans and support DSG all the more.
@@eagleskid365 i think the original comment more meant a show-match for the sake of a fun event. Not to redetermine the winner. Just an event for fun for the viewers and the players to fk around and find out in. Will be a lighthearted finish for everyone involved.

To be fair, his League team did win against EG for the championship. They just weren't given a chance to become a franchise team which is essentially the only way an esports team can justify a challengers team in terms of profitability considering it is already hard enough to find advertisers and sponsors for franchise teams. DSG is truly the peoples esports org, and that has got to be worth something.

Unlucky in the short-term, but they could end up being lucky in the long-term if the team improves from this difficult tournament.
As a non valorant player, I feel really bad for DSG that they were unable to progress further. However, I am glad that DSG is doing well in their other series. Here's to hoping that they can do even better next series.

I feel you Toast 100000% as someone who was also involved into an unfair esport ruling because of a cheater. What even hurts more at the time, someone told me well life isn't fair sometimes which was just a hit below the belt.
Life isnt fair argument is not a justifiable response. People have lost money, time, sweat, sleep, and tears! At the very least have part of the money refunded. Its a scam at this point lol.

I don’t think it’s fair that they didn’t let the teams who lost to Noot Noot replay, considering that their matches were unfair and rigged.
It's kind of unfair prize money wise, but tbf, they lost against the final winner of the tournament in the 2nd game, so the likelihood of them actually winning the tournament was extremely low.

Registration with real ID (non-disclosed to public) would probably help with that in the future and I'd even deem it necessary

DSG was the first time I actually cared about watching Esports and watching the team live playing LOL and winning the competition was such an experience as I sat back in my seat cheering for each member.
All of this misfortune has to be building up to a big win. I'm sorry all this happened, hopefully you get something good soon.

I love how it's always honest teams that get the short end of the stick, never the tournament organizers. Players who get affected by cheaters the organizers let in, should be given prize for their time/frustrations.

Honestly your team did pretty good, a lot of those games were pretty close. Had they played a bit better they could of easily been in finals or champs.

Surely riot should be the ones holding the short end of the stick. It's their tournament, their game and their responsibility. Can they not offer some form of compensation for teams who were eliminated by them, split based on how far that team reached? It's not a perfect solution but at least it's something. This looks terrible on them from my point of view.

While people could certainly look at your side of the table as DSG being eliminated from the tournament, but I think the eclipsing story would be that Riot had cheaters make it so far into such a large scale event. What this means for the next tournament.

Just look at the most recent sample of Blizzard's Diablo 4 esports. Just because your company is huge and you have the money doesn't mean you can create an esports without your players and the people supporting them behind the scenes

im sorry i just really despise cheaters. they always make games that are essentially made for the enjoyment of others, well, not fun. they ruin everything when they hop on and basically make everything easy for themselves. i feel like cheaters prove to legitimate people that they have no skill and kind of out themselves on that fact. i said what i said

Hacking can be pretty disguised 😞 so it's pretty hard to find and clearly the hacks are pretty well built since I think Valorant has access to all your files and see the details of all files in your computer so it's rare that hacks can bypass
It just goes to show how technologically behind Riot Games is. Not only LoL, but their other games are exploited and action is taken either too late or when it doesn't matter anymore.

What are you talking about? Not only LoL? How often do you see cheaters in ranked or competitive compared to other games? Almost none. And Valorant has been out only few years and you rarely get to see cheaters. Riot has done the best job out of all the companies, but sadly rare occasions happen, aspecially in a game that has not even been an Esport for more than 3 years.
@EpicStudiosCZE actually true, vanguard is so good, i played csgo, overwatch and i met cheaters, like spinning and flying around cheaters, and yeah they were banned later but they did played with cheats a lot and got to the high ranks, while in valorant i havent met any hackers yet
Cheaters are always ahead of the curve. Has nothing to do with Riot really, once there is enought money in it, there will be cheaters Just look at actual sports and how some athletes get caught 10 years after the fact just because the testing technology finally caught up. If there is alot of money in it people will try to find a way to cheat.

Mogul Mail looks a little different here
looks like headlock cheat where when the reticle is close enough to the enemies head it will autolock on their head.
when you go frame by frame on those sus clips he always flicks towards an enemy player but never directly on their heads and then after he does the flick a little movement happens where the reticle snaps onto their head.
I feel sorry for the Players.. They tried so hard only for their efforts to be snuffed out by a cheater. 😢 Riot needs to improve their Anti cheat system.
Competitive online play is an arms race between cheaters and anti-cheat detection. No matter how good thier system is there's always going to be someone trying to get around it.
Even both of us can create a bypass if we're good at programming, riot just have to game up their anti-cheat detection like some other games do. (I'm a retired cheat programmer) creating a cheat at a popular game last 2 years ago.
And Im sure that the reason why a lot of cheat programmers don't really focus on creating cheats to a popular game is because not a lot of people support it or buy their cheats. (Some focus on creating a new cheat but it's probably a personal request from a guy that paid really nice)

Before esports really became big. I used to be one of the few girls who was on a team in COD2 for CAL, OGL, and TWL. It wasn't fun being a female in competitive play at the time. Glad more options are opened up for women. Thank you Toast!
