here is my simple response to these points, Im always happy to see someone starting to do some FFXIV content, I hope you continue making content for this game and I apoligize if its overly long, but I tried to condence my thoughts as shorty as possible: 1. You already addressed it in the video, YES you can just New Game+ and enjoy the last zone as much as you want. 2. Healers are needed. sure there is a discourse going on right now that healer as a job as become stale but thats also partly due to their own feedback which healers have given over the years. Like removing Cleric stance and needing more heal kills. There use to be a MEME that healer doesnt need to DPS >.> BUT like 9 out of 10 times, contemporary content is very hard or impossible to clear without having a healer. if someone sees some gigachad Warrior soloing a DT dungeon, then that means they are just that good not that healers are THAT BAD. Like there was a video on Twitter where some guy cleared Palace of the dead 200 floors on Conjuror, would that mean we should nerf white mage to the ground. 3. Dawntrail is already getting another Ishgard Restoration type of content with new zone/planet each new patch. if its anything like Ishgard Restoration which introduced Crafter HUB, Crafting/Gathering FATEs, Expert Recipes, Gathering zone etc. Trust me, thats more than enough content to keep omni crafters busy for at least a month per patch, even if they dont introduce more new systems and mechanics to this Planet Content . AND for the love of god, dont make omni crafter do more combat than absolutely necessary, they will hate it and you will never hear the end of their bitching and whining. They could add more Conditions to normal crafting tho to spice things up. 4. I dont even know what to say, Party Finder/ Duty Finder arent perfect ,but there needs to be personal responsibility. Your 3 star system will just create extreme amount of toxicity and gatekeeping, also fakers who buy kills to get 3 stars and then absolutely get rekt in actual party. I understand it can be little intimidating to join a PROG group if you havent done higher end content, BUT thats "you problem" not games problem. I am an adult and if I have to go or do something new I always get anxious but thats just life. You deal with that. I cant tell my boss, sorry I couldnt complete this assignment becuz I had to go to another offfice where there are strangers and something bad might happen. In most cases, if someone is so anxious that they are too scared to join my extreme party than they probably wont be any use to the party to begin with, and would be there just to waste 7 other persons time. I think thats even more toxic. In summary, your system is overly complex for no particular reason when current party finder works fine enough, and most likely any major changes to duty/party finder will have severe negative effects on the raiding as a whole. 5. Chat BUbbles are confirmed, coming in Danwtrail so yay. but I agree Voice chat would be cool and useful, something like what New World has where its press to chat. That first point NGL I kinda feel that. Maybe the modding community could help you with that. That 2nd point though is a point that I feel like goes touched all by the wrong people. Yes, healers fundimentally needs to be reworked. They're overtuned. Like that goes without saying. This is where I think that people are forgetting that this is a casual MMO with people a casual/laid back perspective on gameplay. There are healers that even up to lvl 100 still cannot heal or properly utilize their job. There are healers that will never use a single OGCD AOE heal, just straight ST healing. There are healers who break the rules, in a bad way, of healing that it's hard to make a point where it's engaging enough to them. I don't want there to be the meme of "Well we can make WHM just BLM with without a Depair or xenoglossy button and they just have a aero/stone phase" or "Zombie mode". Doom does a great job of that. I don't think people want a dungeon full of doom mechanics or esuna mechanics. That's just just a minor inconvience vs an actual solution. Heal checks in raids exist, just not as much since ShB. EW I think didn't have a single heal check in it. There's WoL Ex with the heal checks in it, and that was difficult for the first 2 weeks for some healers. I don't think people truely understand that the "11111111" mashing is even difficult for folks to grasp where they would just wait for damage to come out. This ain't a new player problem too, this is exist outside of the sprout. This is something that again, people in post F2P content (ShB+) does. Again, its hard to pin point what could fix this situation. I do know however, that there's a larger than normal group of people that don't know how to mit properly as Tanks and throw out healings as WHM or AST and shielding as SGE/SCH. TLDR: Healers are fine, players are the problem. They can be more engaging but we can't have good things where there's people unwilling to learn. Also, crafting is fine. Like we could go back to the old days where the success of crafting really was weight on the poor/normal/exelent system currently. Like, the old HQ/NQ farming procedure for post ShB patch was indeed bad. The reason why we have it now is to actually combat hoarders and prevent bots from taking over the MB over mats for pre-crafts. The only thing that needs to be done is the PF, really DF. But the PF thing is a great start. Chat bubbles I can live without. I more than likely have it turned off because imagine someonedoing raid ASCII diagrams in chat and you see it in chat bubble form. 🤣
