- Manco Indy Kart Restoration
The Indy Kart finally runs again after new wheels, tires, and brakes from Gopowersports! Unfortunately, the 5hp Briggs & Stratton went out during filming, so I installed a Tillotson 212cc making over 10hp! Let’s see how it drives!

Lucas!!
Hey jet, I have the same manco indy kart that I'm restoring as well. Do you know what exact bolts and spacers you're using for seperating the drum brake and sprocket? Really need them since when I bought mine from someone, they did not include them. Thank you! (If you can please include the sizes and what type)
Also do you know what size nut you were using?
OH YEAH!
U should try pbc piping for the rear tires for drifting
@cb garage yessir 🫡 hahaha tried the pvc, but no good with the 1wd😅 check out my series on my drift kart :)
Hey my man... I just restored the same kart but mine doesnt have the wing, side nerd bars, seat bars, and nose guard. Do you know if they are original to the kart? Ill try to post a picture or two to my page so you can compare them. I dig your wheels! Great job!
Thank you! The front and sidebars are not original. I welded them on. Also, I added front and side aero splitters and made a custom aluminum rear wing.
Yo bro how did you connect an after market carb to it?
Still stock carb, just air filter. I used an air filter adapter from BMI Karts for a 5hp Briggs Flathead.
I’m replacing the whole break system and it didn’t come with the double sided flange is that what your using on your kart tires to connect it to the sprocket?! These karts have very hard information to find yours would be appreciated!
What bolts did you put on before your sprocket and what kind of hardware are you using to space it out.
@K B Hello, If you have an original Manco Indy Kart, it should have 6-spoke “snowflake” wheels. They are a split wheel, and can be used as either the drive wheel or a free wheel. They have a hexagonal spacer that would make them the drive wheel. Mine cracked a while ago, so I replaced them with GoPowerSports Wheels & Tires (they come with the flange and makes it a lot easier) I used 3/8 hardware. Hope this helps , and good luck with your build!
@K B Look on BMI Karts, they have old manuals on Mancos. The Indy Kart is either 713 or 715.
@@JetSport.Racing I got all the original parts to go with it the brakes are the most horrible thing tho! If you don’t mind can you put a link or name of the parts you ordered off go power sports as I’ve ordered the drum and brakes but got the wrong one which doesn’t match the patterns it’ll be very much appreciated and thanks for responding
