I bought a cheap frame yesterday. Has multiple layers of paint like this one. Im gonna use that "Aircraft" brand paint stripper instead of sanding, then hit with a wire wheel on my drill. Spray that stuff on, then after about an hour use the water hose and spray it off.
U time lapsed by all the cool stuff guys ..cool video tho ...I got a 60' racing kart with a broke drive wheel hub ...not sure how I'm gonna fix it yet ...its the 1st kart I've worked on ...
Gopowersports.com, and tractor supply. I got wheels from both suppliers. However for this particular go kart, the drive wheel came with it and we reused it.
You guys did a great job restoring the go-cart. Have fun on the next restoration.

Great idea!
Who made the frame?.. I had a live alxe kart when I was young, only 1 on the block that wasn't 1 wheel pill
I have the same type of “covered” rear axle. I am wanting to do a disk brake conversion. Any recommendations?
Check out go power sports, maybe they have a kit? I imagine some welding would be involved but I’m not sure.
Did you have any issues with the chain running smoothly then binding?
No it survived fine under our ownership but we didn’t ever get it sideways in the dirt or anything so maybe it could have been an issue down the road

Awesome man, sorry about the time lapse, trying to keep it quick so people don’t loose interest
