Loved the show Brad!! Guides are the problem.. I follow a lot of guides that are fishing during the week while I’m at work…. So when I get to go on the weekends, I keep as many as all the guides post on their pages all week because I feel left out!! And we do every weekend!!! I try to hurt their guide fishing just like they are demolishing the recreational fishers. Sometimes the old guys just need to go sit down somewhere.

The gentleman's point about catch and release is great. But when you follow a few "guides" on Facebook (one sitting at that table) and EVERY day they are posting pictures of coming back with 70 plus fish for a 2 person trip ? C'mon. Practice what ya preach.

The problem of limits is a lot of fishermen don’t care about limits.

Speaking of John Goodwin cooking crappie he once told me Paula liked Ranch flavored Doritos crushed and used in the meal to coat them. He cooked some that way and they were very good.

Small lakes need to have smaller limits that comes down to the OWD doing their job, but we have to let them know there’s an issue,
You can’t compare bass to crappie because crappie are so prolific,
I agree with Outlaw a lot of these guys wasn’t even fisherman before livescope but it’s definitely bringing new people in, and that’s great!
    Unpopular opinion here but.
If you want change get your biologist involved, get a petition going and do something, we talk about it but we don’t want to make it happen!

WOW!!!! I say wow what a GREAT SHOW!!!!! So many good points pros and cons!!!!! Two points that really caught my attention!!!! Don’t blame the gun because it’s the Shooter!!!! Also the Month of March release all females 2#. I agree 💯 on both I currently practice both especially in releasing females from February-March is my timeline!!! Also in the harvesting to eat comments at the end,,, I throw back 90-95% of the fish I catch!!! I’m currently into tracking how they move from season to season so I can understand their patterns and finding how some fish relate to the bottom!!!! The bottom is an entirely different world which I HOPE we never produce the technology to see!!!!!!

I get complaining about possible ramifications of population ect. But when it comes to tourney fish and them complaining they can't compete! GROW A PAIR and learn how to use it. BOO HOO I CANT WIN ANYMORE BECAUSE IM TOO LAZY TO LEAN HOW TO USE ELECTRONICS

I call bullshit , I just fished a lake and had 2 other boats fishing it also.
I was using livescope and they were not. I didn’t catch crap but got hung up trying the same fish too long and they were trolling and catching fish with several poles sticking out the front and back.
Well I’m not stupid so now I have several jig poles ranging from 9 to 14 feet, can’t buy just 1 because if I catch one on a 10 foot pole and my wife has a different pole she will take mine so I bought 2 of all of them.
Dang near broke my bank account but hell I’m 54 years old and like my fishing .
Get your facts straight jack, dang forward sonar caused me to spend more money.

    • @crappieconnection

Not sure what you disagree about. Live sonar will out catch trolling day in day out .

Anyone that complains about livescope as much as he did and talk and how it's ruining small lakes and causes havoc on the crappie fishing and crappie population and its causeing fishing to only be a young mans game then turns around and says he and his son makes a living guiding with livescope is a but hurt hypocrit . He griped and complained the entire time about livescope but when it comes down to it he is just upset and butt hurt because he cannot win tournaments anymore . Seems like he thinks it's ok for he and his son to make big money with livescope but nobody else should have it because it takes his GLORY away from being a competitive crappie guide and tournament fisherman

Bunch of knowledge on this show. I agree and disagree at the same time with most of what was said. Can livescope hurt the population? Yes but no more than any other form of abuse. I follow guides on Facebook on 3 of the lakes along the Savannah River in South Carolina and some of them long line most of the time and still bring out 3 and 4 man limits everyday. Is this good for the population? Outlaw stated they took clients out and brought out 60 fish at a time. Seems to me they are part of the problem. Proactive? Why don't these guides take a proactive approach and restrict clients to keeping 10 fish with 1 over 2lbs? Catch as many as they want but only keep x amount with one over 2lbs. Talk without action makes people loose respect and makes them look like hypocrites. I will also say that if a person couldn't catch fish before getting livescope, they won't do much better with it. You still have to know what the fish do in certain times of the year and so on. Not to mention, It won't make them bite. Now for a man to ask if Hayden is fishing in a tournament and not fishing it if he is, well that man shouldn't be doing anything that requires you to compete. This is ludicrous. To say Hayden is bad for the sport is the most shocking thing I have ever heard. If I were Hayden I would dedicate my next win to him. I have never personally met either of these men but have watched your shows with both of them in it. One says the other is detrimental to the sport and one said he was beatable every time his boat hit the water. Seems to me the later has much better character. I'm 53 so it's not like I'm taking up for the youngsters. I ain't skeered to fish against him either. It would be an honor to get my but kicked by him but I would do it. Yes I would put down the money to try and beat him. Go Hayden!!! Great show, keep up the good work.

Great video but biologist should not be criticized. They study the lake and determine limits. Wardens enforce those and are not biologist. They are law enforcement. Yes, they may be behind but they cannot sample every lake each year. People are greedy.
Electronics/sonar is like hunting deer with thermal imaging or night vision devices. If we did that, there wouldn’t be any left.
Tournaments are destroying the fun of fishing. It’s really all about winning, sponsors selling and promoting high dollar boats and tackle that most cannot afford. Big motor bragging rights and $90k boats. I have a Ranger 188C.
Trophy hunting ruined deer hunting and trophy hunting panfish that won’t fit in the pan is doing the same. We have those out there advocating turning lose the big fish. Crappie die in 7-8 years.
Trophy lakes only is bullshit where you can’t keep fish. Sports fisherman mostly care about the size and not the fun of the sport.
I’m not poor, lived in OK, but enjoy fishing with kids and grandkids. I’ve watched 100s of videos and yet to see any of y’all taking kids and teaching them how to fish. If you do, where are the videos.

Great episode. Sam look like a gun slinger sittin there. Lower the limits wood help. Put a slot limit on them. Make it to where you can only keep 1 fish over the slot limit. Santee Cooper done that with the catfish. Catch limits and only 1 fish over 36” I believe. Santee catfishing isn’t near as good as it used to be do to every guide had to show a full cooler of fish. Now they feelin the effects of it.
