Crazy story, my son just got his first (flow) box from Adidas, and this very joint was one of the pairs he got! That led me to catching up on some Mike Arnold clips, which in turn led me here! Wasn't familiar with this model until I saw them today when he had them on, but they look super dope. Unfortunately he wears a 1/2 size smaller than me, so I cant steal his to skate in. I may have to try to finesse a pair in his next box, haha. Side note...you look super familiar...I know from the comments that you used to skate for the Workshop and also heard you mention Don Pendelton...I've been skating since since '84, still skate to this day, and was very in tune with the scene all throughout the 90's and 2000's...but I still cant put a finger on who you are and its tripping me out...??? Either way, dope channel. Love the in depth breakdown of the history and background of some of our favorite brands and products, you have an incredibly impressive knowledge of it all. And when I saw you have vids talking about the Asics Gel-Lyte's...🤯...not typically a sneaker skate heads would talk about! With Adidas and Asics the only brands on my feet, its dope to hear homies of the same ilk talk about Asics. They're way underappreciated, and even out here in Brooklyn/NYC, not a lot of people rock them. That being said, they're skate branch is up and running, and with Gino I now on the team, maybe the word will spread. Keep up the great work brother, I look forward to many more vids from you in the future. Respect!👊

My name is John Drake I did skate for the workshop, droors, venture, some other companies over the years….I’m from Ohio - lived in San Diego - I was around from the 80s to about 1999. Yeah would be dope to see ASICS do well here in the US in the skate market. Not many people leave such nice comments homie appreciate that. I try to add the sneaker history to every video because heads don’t really know and most of the people telling the stories of these sneakers weren’t around and didn’t live it and it’s funny because they just repeat the same bad information. I try to give the credit where it’s due - where these styles originate from and what the culture was like when they were released when I can speak to that and I’ve been into sneakers since the 70s so even as an old man now I still love them. I had him rolling around when he was in diapers, and now its all paying off, haha. He's on flow for Hotel Blue as well, so its def a super proud dad moment. And I knew I knew you bro! Yes, I def remember your name from back then, so crazy to "meet" you on here all these years later in 2023. Crazy how things happen, but I love it. I gotta say, I truly love your channel bro, please keep making these footwear/apparel breakdown vids. I don't know if longer format vids are on your schedule at all, but having been involved in the apparel industry in one way or another myself for almost 30 years, I can listen to you talk about this stuff all day long.
