Kazakhstan countryside looks very peaceful and relaxing. The photo guys remind me of the people in popular tourist places in USA like Las Vegas Strip and New York Times Square who dress up in costumes like Batman and try to get people to pay them to take photos with them.
Kazakhstan is amazing. But the most amazing is the person behind the iPhone capturing all the interesting moments. Thank you Elena for spending the time and effort for this. All the best for part 2.
Charming Lenochka stimulates boatloads of men into serenading her with romantic songs. Sorry to hear about the photo touts but I guess that you’ll find such people anywhere. It looks like your hiking muscles are improving and that you no longer get tired. The food looks amazing and you never disappoint with your nature videos… Molodetz😊!
Thanks for your quick nice response. One quick addition - months ago I commented on your vid and mentioned the horsemen who came from the Russian steppes around 4,000 BC and swept down and west to Romania and Bulgaria then up north - bringing with them lasting changes to western languages and ways of life. Kasakhstan was the south eastern point in this movement. Keep safe.
The beauty of the Kazakh landscape abounds, carrying with it an awe inspiring mood of peace and tranquility. Elena, with each vlog you demonstrate your ability as a thoughtful story teller as you continue to develop and enhance your skills. You get my seal of approval for your work and dedication! 👍
Greetings from India. It is indeed so beautiful place and it is a part of russia the former USSR. I love this kind of place. In india we also have lots of glacier lakes in norther parts of India.
@@elenastravels You are Most Welcome here😊🙏. Please Contact me when you visit India. Winter is coming and snowfall has started here..😊🌟❄ I am also eager to travel russia. May be next winter i'll also visit Russia😊.
The earthquake lake with trees in it reminded me of one thing. I saw the same scene in western Montana, U.S.A. Same setup, mountains, a river, and a lake. In 1959, a large earthquake caused a landslide of the mountainside. The landslide dammed the river and created a new lake, Earthquake Lake. The new lake posed a threat to the public: if left alone, it would rise and rise and eventually overrun the landslide until it flooded downstream (lots of people lived near the river). The thing they had to do quickly was lower the level of the new lake, which they did by creating a spillway. Two other points: there was no way to prevent a force such as this, and the trees were living nicely on solid ground until the new earthquake lake drowned them in their upright position.
Shoot... i'm crazy for those classic soviet cars my favorite car would have to be definitely the Volga Gaz-24 it looks pretty slick but idk I guess I'm a sucker for box retro cars. Lol, my first car was a blue 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. But yea, I hope this welcomes more people from all arund the world to visit here one day. Perfect video of Kazakhstan Elena I enjoy watching these vlogs. Keep it up.
Yeah, those Volgas looked so cool and stylish! I just don't know why they stopped producing cars like those. I am so glad to hear you enjoy watching my videos 🙂
Another really nice video Elena! You find the most incredible places! The lake and mountains are incredible, and I think you're right about the old riverbed. Anyway, it was a wonderful video, and I look forward to the next one! Safe travels, and take good care!
Wow even when you were trying to be ripped off you still showed how humble and classy you are! This is why youre one of my favorite Russians! Thank you for sharing your experiences and showong the world that Russians are some of the best people around! Be safe and i know you probably get this alot but if you havn't heard it today i'll say it. I LOVE YOU!
Another great video Elena, I'm especially interested in the folk music and string instruments from this region of the world, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey etc., is that sort of thing readily available to the casual tourist, or is it obscured by more modern western influenced music and something you'd really have to seek out to experience, and/or to purchase instrument? Thanx again for sharing your experiences with us.
The plant with the purple flower is a thistle and forms part of tongue twister "The Leith police dismisseth us with twelve thick thistle sticks" and unbelievably it is our national flower. Somewhere nearby I think there is a town that sells Chinese products and has become a bit of a trade hub. It might be interesting to see the reinvention of the silk road in action.....and you were looking for a cheap drone.
I'm not sure I can pronounce that 🤣 Oh I didn't know about that town! In general, many things (especially electronics) were cheaper in Kazakhstan. Maybe I should think about buying some there next time!
@@elenastravels Up until recently, I had not known that the last Czar and his family had sailed to Leith (which is the port for Edinburgh) for a visit. It would have been head west and don't bump into Denmark for him. We have several things in common with Russia as we share the same Saint (Andrew) along with Greece. The big shop in Moscow (Gum?)used to be owned by Scotsmen.....pre-revolutionary. We have identical shops in St Petersburg and Edinburgh. St Petersburg in far grander than our capital however. The cheap electronics cars etc might be inside China and they offer 24hour visas for shopping....but check before you go. I read a story of a young man who revisited the route of Marco Polo, (Hugh Dalrymple) and it was fascinating ...just called "the silk road." Russia is tailor made for road trip sagas so will watch the next with interest.
Awesome video Elena. Kazakhstan has great landscapes and in Europe is known as the biggest State of central Asia and the biggest state in the world without outlets to the sea. I am sad about guys who wanted money because they took pictures to you. We are seeing in the next video, good evening Elena.
I love your soothing voice ❤️ I can watch you for hours. I did Kazakhstan and it's beautiful place. I hiked Kolsai 1 & 2 and next time adding lake 3. Also, the ski resort Shymbulak is fantastic
Your videos are so charming, always a real treat to watch, and I'm really enjoying this Kazakhstan series, so thank you for showing off the place. You portray Kazakhstan as a beautiful, mysterious land that I would really like to visit now. Some of the mountain scenery with the lakes reminds me a bit of the Rockies in the US, which can be absolutely heavenly. Kazakhstan, Russia, and so on are definitely a part of the world I need to spend some time exploring. And it's funny that you ran into German folks in that random village and at the park. I've found that wherever you go, no matter how remote, you'll find at least one German person. Maybe that's only in the places I've been though, haha. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
Thank you so much, Paul! I am so glad you're enjoying my videos :) I was surprised to see that Kazakhstan is such a beautiful place! And the German tourists haha
some Khazaks here in Prague acting really loud and stupid ,expecially when drinking ... their Russian language is full of cursing ,no class .....,Khazachstan must be beautifull ,but killing in the same time ...Huge land ...its like driving from Kansas City to Denver ....flat flat flat 🙂 but AlmaAty ,I heard even has a good beer ...,with Czech bremaster and best water from the mountains 🙂 Great videos Elena ,..Iam sick now ,in the bed ,so watched already 20 of yours videos ...its amazing ..,same like truly yourself ..🙂 spasiba za krasatu Rossiji
