Pretty straight forward Telescope/DSLR. No complicated accessories.

    Hi Ken
Great little video and thanks for making it. I just bought a S/H Cannon EOS 450D and a Cannon T-Ring adapter but thought I must have been missing something. It never occurred to me that the eye-piece barrel was threaded and it was as simple as unscrewing it from the focuser. Thank you so much for sharing this info. Really looking forward to getting out and taking some pictures now.
    Best Regards

As it is not very closely approximates. I have the 600mm lens as well. Another interesting thing! Why many put long extensions as much as 15 cm long? As seen through the long adapter 1/2 for which such decisions? I just bought Dobson 10" and puzzled how best to connect the camera, as all are connected in different ways! Use a long adapter with adjustment and wind through Barlow lens. If you know tell me!

+Pchel T Because with the adapter you can use eyepieces inside.

Thanks for the video. Are there ways to have a similar setup but higher magnification? (such as using a barlow?)

I have the exactly same problem that you have... I can't decide what's best.

Can these telescope mounts handle professional Full body DLSR such as a Nikon D4s?

I can't decided between the 8" orion or skywatcher dobsonian...

Nuda I have the same problem. Apparently this can be fixed by using a 2x barlow. It extends out the focal plane, I'm going to test this out as soon as I can.

Hey Ken how do you balance the dobson when connect it with dslr?

Morning Sim , After you attach your Camera , all you have to do is increase the tension on the two side handles where the scope is connected to the base .

I've heard that that error message occurs when you're not in manual mode on the camera. You need to be in manual mode

my canon 1300d when at prime focus with my dob gives a message that exposure cannot be set as there is no lens. What can be done?

I use a canon 600D. You have to switch your camera to manual setting

So the 200/1200 has enough backfocus to be used with dslr??

only if you do it like he did in the video. Otherwise you would have to get a low profile focuser OR shorten the OTA by 1 - 2 inches (wouldnt reccommend.)
