- Speaking with Foreign Secretary and former Prime Minister David Cameron, Nick Ferrari points out the 'dichotomy' in the military actions of the UK and allies in defence of Israel compared to Ukraine.
The Foreign Secretary told Nick Ferrari on LBC this morning the attack was “almost a total failure.”
“Iran has suffered a double defeat,” he said.
“As Biden said, take the win and focus now on Hamas. There is a deal on the table to release prisoners and pause the fighting. Take that deal."
Israel said Iran launched 170 drones, more than 30 cruise missiles and at least 120 ballistic missiles in an assault that set off air raid sirens across the country.
By Sunday morning Tehran said the attack was over and Israel reopened its air space having said it had intercepted along with its allies 99% of the projectiles launched towards its territory.
The assault came in response to a strike widely blamed on Israel on an Iranian consular building in Syria earlier this month, which killed two Iranian generals.

Second, the "who was killed" is a red herring, consular buildings and embassies are considered foreign soil so such an attack is an act of open war, the fact that Iran waited so long with its response and repeatedly told US we will not attack your bases shows clearly that they wanted to deescalate. If no foreign consulate or embassy is sacred then the rules based system and international law mean nothing

In response to the question of Iran responding to the bombing of its embassy in Damascus, Cameron says without a blush, 'its the scale of what Iran was trying to do, 110 ballistic missiles....' And the RAF helped shoot down the incoming drones. Israel has dropped almost 40000 bombs on Gaza and has killed (not just trying to) over 35000 civilians, 14000 of them children. And the UK continues to send weapons to Israel. The shamelessness is breathtaking.

Failure? Iran announced the attack to the US through Qatar, turkey and Switzerland a day earlier they even gave them an estimate on the size of the attack and they guaranteed that the attack would not draw needs for a response.
